seriously speaking that Nigerian team ain't g'onna make it if they come up against a very organised side . . .

they far too static for my liking; the runners off the ball don't give the man on the ball better options for a pass and they don't make runs that draw defenses apart leaving a clear sight on goal for the man with the ball.

yes, they have got good individual play and atimes, the link-up play is admirable- but i tend to believe that at those times when they're show-boating rather than playing for results.

they don't control the tempo of the game, they just play along with whatever and tend to give the ball away too much in midfield. there's nobody in midfield orchestrating things, that calm head to take control and steady the ship.

they are far too susceptible too counters for my liking . . . everytime they lose that ball and the opposition pours forward, the defence is in complete shambles - 2 and 3's patternlessly shadowing the attack. no leader at the back . . . no technique. doubt if they even know how to play the offside trap.

the Zambians just weren't good enough, they should's picked out those eagles each time they attacked. . .

i know those guys are older than they say they are but they're just not playing like it!

@ viee

the grass in Victoria was definitely better than the one at Ottawa yesterday since i watched games at both venues, plus the rain started in the first half and made the pitch slightly worse.

our goalie was good in the second half, that save in injury time was magnificent. The boys seem tired to me, they are not well co-ordinated and were quite disorganised at the back, though they don't make rash tackles for the most part which is good, remembering what Messi did to us last time around

Bala had an especially poor game IMO, he was too wide and didn't control things at all, I didnt see much rallying of his team mates or anything like that.

@ Ruu the Zambians may not have been that good, but their goalie picked up well in the second half after being really shaky in the first, thats probably why we didn't score more, but the dude with the yellow boots for Zambia really gave us a scare, each time he got the ball i was praying they wouldn't foul him in the pen box.

We need to step up a few levels to have a realistic chance against Argentina.
