a lesson for soccer minnows from Africa . . . . Cool

I never expected much from the Gambians, they remind me of the Angolans' performance at the last World Cup

when on Afrcan soil, they play the spoiler role, but let them get to where it matters for them to perform, they go bridge-counting Cry

imagine the so much praised Gambians going down in such manner to Mexico, na wao . . .

thats why I say even if our boys (super eagles especially) are wack on African soil, they have a way of upping their game when they get out of the continent Lips sealed

                                                  no beef intended

Sorry, the boys were thrashed 3 nil by their mexican counterpart. Let hope the remaining 2 games goes their way

Not over until it's all over. Remember ur boys beat brazil 3 nil in group stage @ Under 17 two years ago & Brazil still got the final losing to mexico.

Wish african teams all the best.

Re: Fifa U20 World Cup
« #55 on: July 03, 2007, 11:49 AM »

I had this Gambian friend we used to call "Henry", he was here in Lag now he's moved to Spain - my word, could that boy play ! i mean he's what we call here in Lag "a baller" but he never quite took football serious - if he had, he'd probably have made this Gambian team c'os they need one very cool head in the middle of the park - in fact, all the African teams need like 2 of such each in their teams !

I just cannot understand why they're always rushing when they play  Huh
