Hi Nairalanders I'm desperately in need of help, Could someone please tell me why the Nigerian High Commission in New Delhi, India has stopped issuing nigerian visas to Indians? I was in Nigeria for some time and had changed my job to take up another job offer in the South. But my travel agent now tells me that the H C has stopped all it's activities related to issuance of Nigerian Visas. Can somebody please help me ? In all probablity, I might lose this offer if things don't work out soon Any ideas on how to get a Nigerian visa from India?

Mermaid, it depends on the nature of your trip. Is it for business, temporary employment or permanent employment. If I have an idea of what the nature of your trip is , I might be able to help you. mystyd1@yahoo.com

A friend tells me that they are doing this because of the arrest of a Nigerian official who was leaving India with a huge amount of money, with no clear source for the same. Maybe I'm not destined to be there

There was an SOS message to the Nigerian President in the Vanguard newspaper some days back by a Nigerian company seeking the services of some Indian technicians to install some equipments they shipped from India.
The company is complaining that the indian technicians could not get visas from the Nigerian embassy in India because the embassy staff said they don't have visa stickers, whatever that means.
I think that's the same thing happening to you.
