Osisi says that Ibo ladies marry from the other tribes when they cant find a rich ibo man. Does that mean that in the absence of a "rich" Ibo man, there can be no "manageable" Ibo man except from other tribes? I concur, dimka

I concur, dimka we also manage the poorer Igbo men God has given the Igbo woman tremendous grace and the gift of patience . We can basically "manage" anyone and thank the Lord almighty. We are blessed like that

Re-ee-eally?? Wow! You don't say! That means all those Niger-Delta men that have been feeding on fish all through the ages must be sterile. Guess the whole of the Niger-Delta must be an unpopulated, empty land, going by your analogy, since you are suggesting that their men can't perform. I guess Commodore Allison Madueke didn't see all the women in his area that could have suited him, so he left there, jumped on the first boat that took him to Izon land, and hooked the pretty Diezani. Or what do you think? Doesn't that tell you something about that woman's powers of attraction, eh?

Is that all you think it is?? If that was all he wanted, there would have been no need for him to hop on a boat and sail all the way down to Izon land, to ask for the hand of that fair damsel in marriage. There was something special about her that he didn't find in his own location, which made him swim across several rivers, to get to Diezani.

Well, let's say congo is one of the factors but definitely not the only one. I heard from a reliable source the brother was slightly broke when he started the journey into marital bliss. He went to Abia (When it was still same with Imo) and they hit him with the most exorbitant dowry. It was alleged that he saw stars flew out of his eye balls shortly before they popped out and fell on the floor. Slowly,he picked them up, blew out the sand and shoved them back in, afterwhich he swore in the name of Amadioha that he won't bother with Nna woman again. . . one thing led to another (including but not limited to congo) and he found him self on the boat to Ogbakirima kingdom, after crossing seven rivers . You know how it ended . . . chei do they dash out their women just like that? We would have saved a great deal when my brother took a wife. Even if we had just gone next door to Ekpeye kingdom, the women are at halfprice with other incentives too.

Who said anything about dashing out women, please? when a man was hit with a high bride price and he ran away to a neighboring place and quickly got a wife,it's either the woman was dashed away or at best he got a huge discount. Who doesn't like saving money?
