More Money, More Prestige In Nigeria Than Uk:
« on: July 05, 2007, 10:20 AM »

"Why would i spend between half a million naira and a million naira to go to UK and start life by washing plates and doing dirty jobs. If i have a vision in life, why can't i start it here in Nigeria. There is freedom of setting up a company of your own. We have alot to venture into here, , oil, agriculture and the yet growing ICT Revolution, name it! Many people started their company here in Nigeria with 50,000 naira and it has grown into millions of naira within 3 years. They now travel on resort and tourism to UK. I think the Nigerians that fled to UK to find fortune are impatient and they lack direction, " What do you think?

This may be true for some people, but it's rather the minority. In rich countries like the US, only one out of four or five new companies still exists after 3 years, others just fail. I do not know what is the failure rate in Nigeria, but I would be surprised if it would be less than that. Besides, in Africa your contacts and family are important in business and if you are born into a family that can't help you with it, it's hard. In developed countries it's your own skills and work that matter more than contacts and everybody has a chance.

It looks to me like this guy who wrote this was born in a rich family with good contacts and things were easy for him. Good for him, but not everybody is that lucky. For many people the way he proposes is not possible.

Nigerians in the diaspora cannot be said to lack direction because so many could have left with reasons good .
Today the Country is rated among the Poorest, people are really suffering and everybody is desperate to travel.
Agreed Nigeria is really hard but not too bad for people who have connections and networks.

Nigeria is a land of opportunities, a land of plenty, a land filled with Milk and Honey only for the wise.

Travelling abroad is good as it helps to expose and facilitate hard earned success.

But being abroad is no guarantee for success.

Over the weekend i was in Cape Verde on a volunteering job and i met Nigerians saying they will never come home again because things are bad,the standard of living in cape verdeĀ  is not better than Lagos.

I took it upon myself to inform about changes in Nigeria, i told them if you are intelligent and wise in money bizness you can make at least 400 dollars a day in Nigeria.
I told them about HYIP Programmes ongoing in Nigeria where people make monies in doubles every month.

Personally i don't think i can stay out of Nigeria for more than a Month.
I make money daily, that even my families and Friends do not make abroad.

The mentality will soon change ,
It will be fine

Regards to Nigerians in the Diaspora,
This is not not to say Nigerians abroad are not okay, it is only a clarion call that soneer tahn later Nigeria will be back again.
One can  come into quick wealth in Nigeria than anywhere in the world , Truly
Nigeria is sweet and Great.
