I laugh at this sistah's saying that leaving their hair natural is good. Do u know waht natural is (VIRGIN HAIR). Natural hair doesn't mean not fixing weave on or adding gel to your hair. Natural hair is that.. your hair has NEVER TOUCHED relaxer. Abeg spare me your "im natural bull crap".
Combing your hair, What to do to your hair, After washing the hair.. do u know how it'll look? Haaa!! Wait oooo, Guys, you mean you love natural hair.. When you trying to run your hands through your girls hair, and you get stopped by some 'koko' in the hair.
I really really really consider girls that don't relax their hair to be lazy girls. They know if they relax it one time, they'll have to be straighten it, cream, drying, steaming, and keeping it nice and clean. They are lazy and that's why they feel the "natural look" is okay. Natural = lazy ass. You just want to wake up in the morning, and use the biggest comb in your house, comb the fxcking hair, and then walk out. Your excuse for your hair looking like a jamaican freak?? ==== "i have a natural hair".
A girl should perm her hair, and keep it straight, curly or whatever. Natural hair is mostly always nappy.
Now let me go to the guys, it's not only girls that perm their hair, that do weave on and fixings. Even girls with natural hair do fixings. And it's those girls with natural hair that'll fix and have to weave it under --- i guess that's why you see weave under their hair when you run through it. If your hair is permed.. you can just comb it all down straight and use hair glue to fix your hair. When you use your hand to go through that.. u don't meet gallops on the way.
If we are talking about "fixing weave on --- or leaving your hair stylish".. then i will reason with you guys in that area. But leaving your hair NATURAL?? haaa...*laughs in chinese*. Picture this -- you and your girl goes into the pool, she comes out, instead of her hair sleeping on her head.. it looks like obonga bush. Sexy indeed.
Bottom line IMO.... Natural hair is soooo not sexy!! Gbabe!

i aint doing that freaky hair,..i'l like it longer, it might do if its straightened, i gat a straightner but no sane person to do it. am thinking of withdrawing sum money for highlights and straigthening.. i'l love weave on [gat curly ones and coloured ones] but heyyyy.arghhh!  naww don't straighten it yet! because that might break your hair n' before u know it, it start fallin apart!! u know how hot thoze stuffs get uhh! i guess u can start braidin it little by little.... it'll get longer in no time! |

@hot angel: having natural hair is not about being lazy. It's about wanting healthy hair. I found that whenever I relaxed my hair, even gently, my hair would break off terribly. So, I cut off all my hair to start afresh relaxer-free and it looks much healthier now. With natural hair, it takes a lot of work as you have to make sure your scalp is well oiled, your ends are regularly trimmed, etc. Don't believe the misconception that once your hair is natural, you don't have to do anything more to it.

You are rude.  To all my natural girls, keep it up! To everyone else: Make sure the relaxer contains no lye, cause your hair will shed like snake skin.  hunnie, i wasnt being rude. Seriously. I was just telling u how it is. Natural hair or a relaxed hair.. Even all the guys trying to pull up the whole "i love natural girls shiit".. would agree in their correct mind, that they prefer a permed hair. And i just want to make sure that the guys understand that "perming your hair (which in turn this-virgins it) doesnt not mean you have to Fix weave on on it. Or doo long weave or nothing like that. it simply mean your hair won't be like a bush. |

You can have natural hair (perm free hair) without having it look like a bush. You can straighten it with a flat iron on a cool setting and still achieve the straight, "permed" look if you so desire. You just won't have any chemical in it.

Do you know that most if not all virgin hair look like rubber?? So when you use flattening iron on it, Just think of the result. I mean when you try to pull a virgin hair up.. and you release it.. do u realise it goes back down?? When you pull it up.. it simply just go back down. So when using a flattening iron to do it.. Like hello?? Can u picture the result? I will agree that Yes.. some people can keep their "unpermed hair". BUT.... We all know the truth lying under those hair. |

@ hotangel: No, it doesn't work in the way you've described. I've tried it on virgin hair before and it stays straight until you sweat or get it wet. It also depends on the grade of your hair. The curlier your natural hair is, the more difficult it will be to straighten, but trust me it can be done, if one is so inclined.

@hotangel: I know what natural is; i have been natural since the 7th grade when i shaved my hair, then i had to wear wigs until my hair grew long enough to wear braids, then i wore braids until my senior year in high school. my hair didnt touch a perm ever since i shaved my head, so my hair is strong, real long and thick and beautiful, and when a wet it, is curls up nicely, i have a picture somewhere i will post it soon. so i am natural thank you. perms are a waste of money.
I wonder how STRONG, THICK... works together with beautiful hair. I'm not trying to criticize sistahs with natural hair... but i might end up sounding like that.. (which i really don't want to happen). But anyways.. We all know what natural hair is.. the history of how u've been wearing your hair has nothing to do with this topic. About the wetting thing, Are you going to go about with water on your hair?? Or you carry a bottle to spray water on your hair? I don't really need an answer. Between, I said it earlier.. Lazyness is part of why some sistahs keep their hair natural. "waste of money". Why would you do "aroro" on spending money on your hair. Not someone else's hair. Haaa!!! then again... I say.. keep your strong 'beautiful' hair STRONGER. That's sooooo sexy.
Just so that everyone understands me. I will Go for Leaving your hair alone instead of Fixing weaves all the time. I will go for that anyday. Leaving your natural hair would be so hard without relaxing it from time to time. I quite agree with Hot-angel on that. Imagine running your hands through that kind of hair and hitting bumps and gallops but when relaxed, no frictions and your hand flows through. I think some people don't seem to get it. What we're talking about is either wearing of weaves or your natural hair (modified I would say i.e permed, relaxed or whatever it's called). Wearing of weaves should be occassional in my opinion so that people would know and appreciate your real (not natural) hair. I think it all depends on the level of the occassion though. |

I still maintain my stand that natural or artificial,it hot,as long as it is well done and well kept!!!

I wonder what black women are looking for with staight hair. God already made it kinky and ure straightning it. Na wa o. In Nigeria here, some women look so crazy whenever the do the weaves or attachment or whatever they call it. imagine wearing a wig and pouring with seat all over.....
Some of them look as if they were under some bondage or so. I like the natural hair, well taken care off, combed, plaited, neatly packed etc.
The best part which i always say is that No one can beat God, not by technology. No matter how many weaves, perms, color, taint or whatever here and there, the curly kinky hair is what grows out of your head. Its best to stick with it, the way God meant it to be.
