Who's been watching Naija boys whoop ass in beach soccer in durban. The boys play good football. Although i think the defence is suspect. There's a guy called olawale the guy has scored like 15 goals in 4 games , which is like a record. he should be drafted to rplace all this crappy aghahowa and martins  well we whooped egypt 9-7, sengal 10-6, cameroon 5- 0, SA- 7-6. Now we are on to the final against senegal. |

Nigeria sweep aside Argentina The Nigerians took a huge stride towards the quarter-finals of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Rio de Janeiro 2007 when they beat Argentina 5-3 as Group D got underway. Despite making all the running early on, the Albicelestes fell behind when Idoko Ibrahim struck from a free-kick. The South Americans pulled level instantly through Gustavo Casado to leave the sides all square at the first break. For all their possession at the start of the second period, though, the Argentinians could not find a way past Abdullahi Isa.  At the other end, meanwhile, the Nigerians showed them how it was done, Osahon Uhunmwangho, Ifeanyi Onigbo and Ogbonnaya Okemmiri, twice, all finding the back of the net to put the Beach Eagles 5-1 ahead. Hector Petrasso's team surged back just before the final break with goals from Santiago Hilaire and Federico Andrade. Content to sit on their lead and let Argentina come at them, Nigeria held out in the third period to secure three very valuable points.
