God love cheerful/HUMBLE givers,

HOW MUCH DO You GIVE TO THE LESS PRIVILEGE n NOT to UR CHURCH, (OR D BLESSING IS ONLY FROM THE CHURCH RIGHT)

plus i'll like to know how much neat $$$ dollars notes u give to your CHURCH, since u feel i give dirty naira note. Grin

I don't know if that assertion can hold when scrutinized. Besides giving, God looks for our commitments in simple obedience to whatever He calls us to.
[/qoute]

TRUE

[qoute] Jesus probed Peter's love in John 21:15-19 by two things: 'feed My sheep' and 'follow Me'.[/qoute]
How do u follow him if he asked you to give him what you have and you woulldn't? You remember what jesus told the rich man that asked what he would do to be saved?

[qoute] God desires each one of us to express our love to Him by keeping His commandments (1 John 5:2 & 3). [/qoute]
How do i keep His commandment if my heart is till tied to my possession?

[qoute] My love and commitment to God is also proven in my love to others (1 John 4:21). [/qoute]
How do i love without giving?

I don't think "giving" is the ONLY way to prove one's love and commitment to God. It is one of the ways of doing so; but not the ONLY way.

Cheers.

Bravo

The measure at which you give, will be measure to you back  simple world,  what i  want us to do is to start giving bountyfully so we could rip high profit.

Please you all get this straight i never stand and watch what peeps give as a offering none of my business if ya give N1 is just a law if you gv N1 you rip N1 u can never plant corn and get beans in return. simple truth is that peeps out of there don't believe in giving and most of us rob God of our tithe.

You put God to test and put your first fruit to God, give with all your hearth and forget any doubt you will be amazed to see what God will do.

Thats just the liitle point i'm trying to bring out,  not all this things you guys are yarning here.

doesn't really matter how much i give to god? everyone are not equal, even if i gave one kobo, god understand n appreciate it. so be thankful that, someone can even give five naira.

God is not worried what how much u give or gave him, what matter to God is how u feel about him deep in your heart Smiley

Simple! You give as much as your faith can carry!
Also you give as much as you can afford!
By the way, what you give is between you and your God, not a topic for comparism.

By the way Smartsoft, this one you are suddenly promoting 'Giving in Churches', are you a pastor?

Otherwise are you on your way to becoming one?

'cause I'm beginning to wonnder why this topic? What is in it for you? Are we all ignorant of giving to God? Have we not heard enough already to make up our mindz about individual giving mentality? Or are you merely promoting this topic b/c you stand a chance of gaining from it one day? Otherwise, are you obsessed or confused with giving?

WHICH ONE YOU DEY?

Give as you have determined - na Bible talk am. Why react as if smartsoft don become spiritual police? Hehe. . some people just dey fidget anyhow; that's why them dey over-react! Grin

well to me i think it doesnt matter how much u give what is important is your attitude. god sees you and there is no way you can deceive him. remember the two brother cane and abel. so i will advice you give according to what u get and not what u fill! so that it will be acceptable unto god.

My opinions about this matter are:
1. It is true the God does not need our offerring because the cattle on a thousand hills belong to Him.Silver and Gold belong to Him.The earth is His and the fullness thereof. However we need to give FOR OUR OWN NECKS.It is s a spiritual principle stated by God Himself."Give and it shall be given back to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over" We are to give to God's work(Not to God personally, but to His work). We are also expected to give to the poor and lastly,to the neccessity of saints.

2. It is not the absolute amount u give that matters but the percentage of what you have that matters. This is aptly demonstrated by the story of the Widow's mite in the bible.

3. Personally I believe that every Christian should strive to give to God's work,a value more than his or her tithe. In other words, work towards giving a minimum of 10% of all your earnings and see what God will do in your life!! Continue to increase the percentage as God blesses you the more.I know men who are giving over 80% of all their earnings to God's work and yet the remaining 20% is too much for them to finish.Think about that.

4. Finally, prayerfully make sure when you sow(give) you are doing so on a fertile ground(i.e, a genuine Christian work) and that you are giving cheerfully, not with regrets or grumblings.

If you follow the the above guidelines,I believe God will surely respond heavily to your giving and bless you and all that concerns you.
