Umm. . . .don't let Yoruba people hear this oh! Let me guessyou conducted a census, did a quick demographic survey and plotted the results into a Gant chart to arrive at this so-called 10%?? Na wa o! What would you call the Alaba traders then? @Mr Official fool, you know those mole conductors and those smelling Agbero are mostly Yoruba boys shouting in their ngbati voice. Many beggars and homeless people are mostly in Southwest Region=yorubaland. Chei! How come you know so much about Molue conductors? Are those the kind of people that have been keeping you warm, at night? As for molues, it appears as if that is the main mode of transport you are used to, that is why you know so much about the body odour of the smelling Agberos and Molue conductors??? ! Oya, talk true! No lie o!

@ you geezers, what was the thread about, and what does Seun's being Yoruba have to do with his deleting the thread. why abuse all Yoruba just because Seun deleted your thread. Shows a serious jungle mentality and lack of manners. Seun has deleted my posts in the past but you don't see me crying a river over it. Get a life. If your thread/post is all steam and no substance then why shouldnt he delete it.
I see plenty , and I mean plenty of hate threads here. Personally, I think some people should be locked up for the racist tribalist stuff they post here.
so what's all this about?

@tpia, I no know say you too see am. Many people have had their posts deleted in the past, irrespective of their ethnic affiliation. When ogechi84, a.k.a nutcase, was making her asinine comments on this website, nobody deleted them. When docokwy and the rest of the tribalistic cartel decide to attack other ethnic groups, their posts are not deleted. Yet, these guys up here, didn't notice that. Now that their own posts have been deleted, ahthey have resorted to making irrelevant complaints. Di Yoruba people wey go answer una, still dey come. Oya, no be by force, them dey post comments for here. Make una waka go another website wey dey broadcast matters about yah area.

its so annoying to see people using their tribe as a cover for their ignorance, bad manners, general rudeness and zero self esteem.
Appalling behavior indicative of bushmen and jungle detainees.
Some people need to learn how to talk in a graceful manner that shows the speaker understands the difference between humans and lower forms of life.

If there has been a major problem which stands as hinderance to most Nigerian's is their inability to see beyound their ethnicity/culture and then we become so tribalistic and self centered. The Yoruba man says my "Yoruba",the Hausa man says too;"my Hausa" and so the Igbo man is not left out. Culture is a people's mirrow but when it brings about segregation and disintigration between people of different regions its becomes a major problem for Nigeria. With this, people will find it difficult to grow above what they should have and then become so shalow. One of the ingredents of becoming so tribalistic is that it does not make one to see beyound his nose and so what ever a person from a different ethnicity does, will never make real sense. For instance;if a single Yoruba man does anything wrong,You find people saying things like this,"thats how the Yoruba's behave".A dirty Hausa man becomes a general phrase for the generality of the Hausa just like one greedy Ibgo chap is a reference point to every single Igbo man. Did you notice that if someone do 99 good actions and one mistake, someone will remember only the mistake? How strange!!! Some of the problems we have had in the past that has to do with religion conflicts, has a lot to do with ethnicity.Until we are able to open our eyes far beyound this boundaries,we would keep having lot of limitations in Nigeria.
Think like a Nigeria, don't think ethnicity,

@tpia he he he he he he! did I say all that? Wow! I must have crossed over to the other side. I am usually cool headed and accomodating! Now you know you took this quotation out of context? I was insulting a particular individual who called me a "Hausa" goat! So I returned the favour! @Horus I never dreamed that you leave religious section to come out here. Na wah oh! Anyway. Nigeria has some dominant tribes and is is a given that individual tribal traits can be generally seen in most people of any given tribe. We generalize because our experiences have shown us that this is true. However, there are exceptions to the rule. Every tribe in Nigeria has perculiarities. Yorubas are very lousy-can never never be trusted-hygiene is a big problem Igbos are very money conscious-very secretive-will sell you your own urine-prone to cheat! Hausas-religious intolerance-gender biased-not adventurous at all Calabars are very timid---lack motivation-will drag you behind with lack of ideas Binis are very local-bush-fetish-lazy-terrible work ethic-terrible figures Urhobos are very quarellsome-lecherous-uncouth-can never be polished! ------and so on and so forth! You can generalize but there are few exceptions period! Name a tribe and it has its own pros and cons!

We do not have to make enemiies. You do not have to take things personal. If you do not like what is being said, we can agree to disagree and vice versa. All na for joke! If you stroke me I stroke you God no vex! The reason people get offended on Nairaland is because they are too sensitive and do not have a good sense of humor. Just relax, no disrespect intended! We are just sharing our observations--- which we already know anyway! Nothing new here!

Please, you can't be serious. I am from one or several of the tribes mentioned previously, even the youruba sef, so I am impartial. I can laugh at myself as well as others. It does not have to be personal. I have yabbed Ibo, Bini, Calabar, Hausa, Yoruba, and Urhobos to mention a few. It is all for fun! As long as it is done without malice or personal insult, there should not be any problem abi?

AFRICANS ARE DIRTY

I have not dealt with other Africans intimately like I have with Nigerians so I cannot say much in that area. I can say Americans are "stupid and ignorant"' of other cultures because I live with them. But Africans as a whole--that is a stretch. I do not even know most tribes in Africa. I have met some Africans here and some of them are dirty and some of them are clean. Not enough for me to make a good generalization. But for Nigeria, I sabi them well well!

You don't have to "stay" with them! I did some of my schooling in the west and my greatest problem with yoruba guys was "hygiene"! They dress for show but migosh! When ever I was invited to visit most of them in their homes or on campus----you cannot drink water there not to talk of eat! They do not know how to talk softly and yell most of the time.
