I love rock. mostly gospel rock. y'all should try bands like Casting Crowns or Churchills, or Switchfoot, or The frays. Those guys rock. Check any of them on Youtube. I'm sure you'll like them. Every kind of music can sound demonic, u just av 2 listen to the rite ones. i totally hate some kind of rock music.

Rock music gets its notoriety from hard rockers like Eddie han Halen, Slash, Marilyn Manson et al, but those are not just the guys who do rock, there are decent rock artists such as Avril Lavrigne. You need to hear the lady's songs and listen to the lyrics. they have positive depth.
If Rock music as the poster presumes is demonic, then Rap is satanic (which i definitely know is not true).
I got hooked into Rock as a life long Michael Jackson fan, i have since moved on to listen to other main stream rock artists and bands and my life has never remained the same A trial will convince you all.
here is a challenge to the poster and the anti rock guys on the thread. Tell me your favourite foreign artist, and i would tell you at least one rock/pseudo rock song from that artist.
Rock music is like football, it is beautiful but the beauty depends on the skill and approach of the players.

He was the "yeller" for the band, from what he said, it's all just fun. It's goes back to the whole concept of not trusting what we don't understand, and that's just part of what makes us human. *rock music is very expressive, raw and is not avowed to make overs as in some genres
*due to this all forms of emotions are expressed there in. hate, frustration, misery, sexuality, sensuality, confusion, realities of life
*these expressions can be taken to be demonic as their origins are deep from within unfiltered
*those that perpetuate the sounds you hear have lifestyles that you may not be proud to invite to dinner with your granny
*the instruments and sounds can be produced from a diff spirirt with diff results

While Marilyn Manson took his last name from a serial killer (Charles Manson), he took his first name from a very mainstream actress (Marilyn Monroe). "Van Halen" is, if memory serves, a rather common surname in the area from which Eddie's and Alex's family comes. "Motley Crue" (sorry, but my computer doesn't do umlauts) is derived from a rather common phrase (motley crew) suggesting a non-uniform group. Nothing satanic there. "Deep Purple" is a rather lovely colour! "Guns 'N' Roses"? Well, consider that just about any country that is free became that way through its military might (guns). And, even "The Bard" wrote of roses! Indeed, some of the hardest rocking bands had rather innocuous sounding names: MC5, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Frijid Pink, Tankard--the list goes on. Pehaps nomenclature isn't a particularly good determinant after all.  |

How can anyone in this day and age say something like that? Really baffling. . . Slayer, Judas Priest and Deep Purple are all bands that did their music to the level at which their fans labelled them gods. . They did justice to Rock music and they were loved!! Cos a genre of music is loud and its performers look weird does not make the music devilish!!!!. . . The devil can be on any song. He doesnt need guitars and loud drums before he wraps himself around a song.
