Is it in the premiership alone. because if it is in the Europe those people you are mentioning are not in top 3 1) Ottmar Hitfeld of Bayern Munich/ Borousia Dortmund 2 champions leagues 2) Vicente Del Bosque. 2 champions leagues 3) Carlo Ancelotti. 2 champions league
All of them have several local titles so we don't have to bother ourself with that.
A coach should be measured by what he has won local cups and most importantly continental trophies.
If you want to bring any other coach into it you must state his C.V i.e what he has won

value the whole trophies the've won all together, and tally them to that which the highest paid pensioner had won both in scotland and manchester united. please lets all give it to him. he's simply the best. Sir Alex Ferguson.

hey stop that, with all those trophies those that make him the best coach, he won those trophies when premiership is not competitive, if u are talking of the best coach in the world both tactically and technically i will give it to jose mourinho of chelsea football club.

it tells me that you don't know whay u're saying, you said when he won those trophies football wasen't that competative and, do you know how many trophies he had won since 2000 till date. just seven years now, won the premiership four times since 2000. i:e 2000, 2001,2003,2007 and enhlish fa cup trophiees since year 2000, I:e 2004 carling cup: 2006. so chelsea had also won six trophies sinec then from two coaches both from, viali and jose. plsease in your shame try amd give it up to sir Alex Ferguson

JOSE MORINHO(THE SPECIAL ONE) IS THE BEST COACH AS OF NOW. Give him 21yrs in any club,he will top the records of SIR ALEX, counts his achievements in just three years in a club that was no where.Sir Alex USED to be the best then but definitely his time has gone, 'THE SPECIAL ONE' has come to stay. Hate him or love him, he will break records. For a coach to be in a just for three year and being compared with some one who has been there for wooping 21YEARS, the is to tell you the magnitude of his achievements. MORINHO! MORINHO!! MORINHO!!! , you never be disapointed.

Posted by: Harlex Insert Quote value the whole trophies the've won all together, and tally them to that which the highest paid pensioner had won both in scotland and manchester united. please lets all give it to him. he's simply the best. Sir Alex Ferguson. Do I have to list the number of Bundesliga, Laliga, Serie A titles that Ottmar Hitzfeld, Ancelloti, and De Bosque have ammased. has won for you? Even Cappello Do you know the number of leagues he has won? A coach should prove his mettle when he plays in continental competition If a coach not only won it once but twice and to cap it up in different clubs. Then he has shown that it is as a result of his tactics thats

Lets address this issue objectively. There are now 2 generations of managers. We have the old and the new. The 2 should not be joined 2gether in any way. Ferguson, Wenger, Capello,Hitzfield, Sir Bobby Robson, Zagallo, Del Bosque, Lippi and Ancellotti all belong to the old generation of football managers. Mourinho, Frank Rijkaard, Guus Hiddink, Benitez, Hector Cuper, Claudio Ranieri and Louis Van Gaal etc are the new generations. Under no circumstances should the 2 generations be mentioned in the same breath. Someone said give Mourinho 21 years @ Chelsea and he would win more than Ferguson. It is the most laughable statement i have ever heard. No manager can enjoy such domination in any club in the modern day football. The expectation and demands is much higher than it was in the days of Ferguson. Mourinho only came 2nd in the league and nearly lost his job while Ferguson is UNSACKABLE. Thats the difference between the 2 generations and prolly reasons why Jose calls Ferguson the manager's MANAGER. It will be more appropriate if we debate on who is better intra-generational. Comparing INTER-GENERATIONAL will be suicidal. Do we want to start comparing Mourinho to Capello or Rafa to Del Bosque? Capello was managing teams when Jose was still wearing diapers on the streets of Madeira or the Al Garves.

Guus Hindink and Van Gaal are not new generation at all Hindick won the Champions cup at P.S.V in 1988, and Van Gaal at Ajax in 1995 this was way before Del Bosque you called the old generation started coaching. Ancelloti can you check Ancelloti's age he is age mates with Mourinho and Benitez
Among the old generation 1. Hitzfeld, 2 Del Bosque 3 Capello
Among the new generation 1 Ancelloti,2 Mourinho/ Benitez and Rijkaard

He's won with Milan, with Juve, with Roma. He even won twice at different intervals when he took it to Spain with Real Madrid just to show you that distance is not a barrier.
I just had to give it to Capello. It was a close one b/w Capello and Lippi tho. Then u have Guus Hiddink too and Rafa and Ancelotti.
