All Latin American soaps have the following
1) the prime couple-rich guy and poor girl most of the times
2) a girl loving the afore mentioned man and he doesnt love her so she tries to destroy his happiness
3) The prime couple ALWAYS get married at the end after all the tribulations.
4) the other cast members always have love interests
5) they all know each other.
Bottom line, the stories are monotonous. Wonder why i keep watching them.

God bless this post. God punish the marketers that bring in these Mexican dramas. They are unrealistic, speak stupid and prevent development of the local industry.
Do not misunderstand me, I'm not against these dramas themselves. It is the useless marketers, media organizations and advertisers that use these programs to punish Nigerians that will be judged and cast into Hell!

How people can sit down to watch such utter crap is way beyond me. The exaggerated mannerisms, the melodramatic and unrealistic story lines, the tacky dressing, the gobs of make up on their faces, we can find all that in Nollywood. Why do we need foreign crap to add to the sucky movies we produce here? On a trip out of town with my sister in law, I was forced to watch one. She gave a run-down of the story, like it was the height of entertainment.
What happened to our own interesting soaps? Or the classic tv dramas from different parts of Nigeria? In entertainment, as in every facet of Nigerian life, we have regressed so far that we consistently set low standards for ourselves and consequently accept poorly produced trash from abroad. Non of these tele-novellas can hold a candle to Cock crow at Dawn or Mirror in the sun.
