Student Visa Re-application. please Help Me Think This through
« on: July 18, 2007, 12:26 PM »

Hello everyone, i need u to help me consider my chances of a successful new reapplication for a student visa to study a 1 year postgrad Oil and Gas course in the UK. i was refused in june because i based the payment of my fees on projected income by july ending (post dated cheques from clients/LPOs and investments HYIPs) all totalling NGN7.4m(Capital plus Returns).
- Monthly investments wit Wealthzone and Nospetco turns in NGN274.5K.
- Other assests (shares, undeveloped plots of land, cars, LockUp shops, ) totalled NGN10.8m.
- I had a cash amt of NGN2.2m in my accts
- my consulting firm turns in an average of NGN2m annually
- and My wife turns in an average of NGN3m annually and earns NGN120k monthly from nospetco.
- my tution fee is GBP16,000.00 (@260 = NGN4.16m).
Now,
1) i have the tutuion fee from afore stated sources ready and I'm planning to reapply after paying it.
2) i also plan to state that i will not be responsible for my wife and baby daughter- that my wife will (from what she earns)
(it counted against me when i said i would in the first application)
3) and they will be here in nigeria except for visits.(what are their chances if we change our minds and want them in UK for d period of my course after getting my visa?)

well, guys i think that is all about it please what do think?

thanks

i don't see them allowing your family to come and stay for the whole duration of your course. because they will take in account the support you can give them whilst they're here, that is financially, just to make sure that you can bring them and start asking for social welfare and stuff, so your account statement have to be seen, other means of income etc. now as you will be coming in with a student visa, you really need to think hard on what to put in your application.

Thanks smile76.

I presently av a constant monthly inflow of NGN274.5K from wealthzone, Sefteg and nospetco combined and it has been so 4 almost a year now. My wife has NGN120k monthly from nospetco(which is experiencing some delays now).
My on campus accomodation will be a  2-bedroom house, it costs GBP430, utilities inclusive and av paid the deposit.
I intend to run a lean office that will primarily trade in stocks while I'm away(to keep my firms bank account active asper income).
i also plan to personally invest in online stocks trading with vetiva. (NGN1m minimum)
Financially all of these should push me (us) into about NGN400-500k monthly income (almost GBP2,000.00 monthly). so i would think Finances shouldnt be a problem except if its that the sources of income are speculative.  Are they speculative?
