Middle Age/ Middle Mgt Dilemma
« on: July 18, 2007, 06:27 PM »

Whats ur take on this?
I'm a middle aged chap, official age 37yrs , and have worked in the manufacturing and banking sectors for a total of 14years.(2 in mnf and 12in banking)
I am not too impressed with the pace of my career advancement and as such thinking of travelling abroad to go do a masters programme even though i already have an MBA amnd ACA in Nigeria. I am hoping this may boost my chances.
Considering the heacvy financial outlay and my age i am bothered if this will be a worthwhile venture.
If it is what course(s) do u think will be very marketable , yet not too costly to pursue?
If it isn't then what is the way out noting that one's stay in the bank may not be for too long , MDS are now under 40 so if u are not in the top bracket at this age one might be on his way out to make room for the "whizkids"
