What's The Worst Book You've Ever Read?
« on: July 19, 2007, 02:43 AM »

Hey folks! As you all know with life,everything good has its evil foil.I have read some damn good books but this thread is dedicated to the worst book(s) anyone  has ever read.Books you wouldn't wish on your enemy.

Number one on my list is "The soul drinker" by Jo Clayton. A big stupid ham fisted book which I had trouble wading through.I got as far as half  and just couldn't take it anymore as the author lost the plot completely and rambled on.
Fast on its heels is "The illearth war" by Stephen Donaldson.It is supposed to be fantasy. I will just say here reading this book is my only claim to masochism.

So what's the worst book you've ever read?

@Vivian
I think the book you were referring to might be 'Emeka' by Frederick Forsyth.
But I'm not very sure. . .

And if i do read a little, i won't finish it, i just put it away. ok, there's actually one called "The secret garden" not my worst book just really borin', my teacher gave it to me, gosh, looked like a book for middle-skool kids,  I read it for a while, and i thought about it and felt stupid readin' it, i just gave it back.
