US. F1 Student Visa

I have just been offered admission in North Dakota, USA with 65% partial scholarship. Right now, I am set to confront the Almighty American Embassy by May, but I am a little nervous because I have been there in 2005 on visitor's visa application and was denied with a stamp on my passport. Can anyone help me out with meaningful and helpful suggestions, advice, views and opinions. Please I really need you to share your experiences with me so that I can be well informed when I go there by May. Your suggestions will be highly appreciative.
