Let me just ask that you kill two birds with one stone!!!!, Get your ACCA, go for a 1 week tea drinking session with ICAN and you become a member!!!, It will probably NEVER happen the other way.

I am now chartered!!!! ICAN result came out today. Thank GOD it is all over. Right now, CISA, is the next certification to conquer.

hi, am also doing ACCA, I started after my masters in finance. ACCA is really good,
it just needs dedication, but it can be done at least am doing. i am writing my last exams in december.
so if you are ready to dedicate time to it, then go for it.

Ogor etta yes you can register for the Matured Student Entry program whereby you need not any special qualification. Deadline for registration is august 15 which is this wednesday. So hurry up. The ACCA office for nigeria is at victoria island. Infact just visit ACCAGLOBAL.COM

hi denovo,victor and sharpman,
please i need u guys help,i graduated from lagos state polytechnic 2yrs ago with upper credit.i decided to register for ICAN. after i was given my membership number,then i went for my exemption form,on submission of my exemption form i was told we have been disacredited that i am going to write PE1,i was furious and contacted some of my lecturer to know the situation,but i was told they are doing something about it.
presently my form is with me,pending the outcome of the acreditation before ending of this year. to me, its not matter of writing PE1 but time and stress of all other things.
right now,i am thinking of diverting to ACCA, what level am i going to be exempted with the new sylabus.please i need u guys advise asap.

exceptions in acca is determine by acca, as in nt certain what n what u wil b exempted from; to determine that, they wil nd to go through your transcript which u wil b required to submit upon registration

To me ACCA is better
The only thing is if you found yourself in some peculiar situations.
My friends in KPMG MUST do ICAN whether you like it or not. You can do ACCA on your own and when you're going for the exams you have to be careful about it.
My friend has missed his ACCA exams countless times because on the day of the exam, he will be seconded to some funny states.
To them, the only approved exam is ICAN, ACCA is on your tip. NO recognition for it.
In my own firm, ACCA is it.
