There's no merit in saying Osofia is deserving of the systematically harsh and racist treatment he suffered in the hands of those hooligans (not by law at least).
Those who have been shouting racism/discrimination have a valid point that should not be lobbied against.  MIA Nigerians turn puppeteers to so many western unjustified actions and they're so quick to victimize, rebuke, and condemn their fellow countrymen as soon as disaster ensues.

I think we nigerians sometimes expect too much from the world,in a world that we are so insignificant,in the sense that we can't even rule and control our own world ,we expect much from this white monsters who doen't give a hoot about us,because they think we are unreasonable monkeys as portrays by our leaders. White man is a dragon,he eats you alife if he can,so it is not about how they treat you,it is about what you do to get even or beat them in the game.

dear mamaput,

"From across the street, the actor watched as Nigerians and others of African descent, about 500, were being frisked and sniffed at by giant police dogs, and were later loaded in trucks and driven away to various detention centres. "What got me mad was the way they manhandled Maleke. I felt bad and helpless as I watched from across the street the way they wrestled Maleke to the floor, cuffed his hands and took him a away like a common criminal simply because he sought for an explanation for the police action."

Osoufia became convinced it was a racist attack when "they started letting go the whites among the crowd. A woman who is from The Netherlands challenged them but she was just ignored and asked to just go. She was really mad from the way she was speaking.""

Just learn not to make the same mistake "Osuofia" and his friends made---that's all.  First you have to recognize what the real problem is here.  But most of you are not ready to do that. When you recognize what the problem is, then a solution will come clearly to mind.

We have already discussed all that.  We as Nigerians need to educate ourselves on how to behave in different cultures.  So that we are not misundertood by our actions.  We have to learn how to conduct ourselves in Nigeria and outside Nigeria.  I think this is simple enough for all to understand.

This is not a wrong or right scenario.  We can avoid these types of incidents from happening by following simple instructions and avoid unnecessary arguements with law enforcement agents.

Let's re-hash and re-discuss it. please do fish out some arguments from the article posted on post 1, page 1, that provoked, or warranted, osofia's animalish treatment.
Again I ask, how do Romans behave in Rome? How come hardcore rappers in America who continuously rap about selling crack to caucasian kids aren't raided and closed-out for their non-romanic behaviors?

Okay!  No point in arguing with you guys.  You will learn the hard way.  Please, this thread is long enough now.  I will leave for someone else to keep it alive,  Goodluck.  Do yourselves a favor.  Try and travel out more often outside Nigeria--you lack exposure.

Unbelieve how some people here are very narrowminded  to insist that it is not a big deal what happend in Amsterdam,
while even the major and Dutch political parties have condemned it. In addition, organizations that  stand up for black peoples right were involved in the case.   The only thing that a lot of Nigerians on this forum can do is yab and laugh about.  Shameful and disgusting.

Can you see the self hate that Nigerians are living with. One of the reasons that we cannot grow and stand up as a strong nation.
The envy and hatred for our own kind is so visible and strong that even when others are wrong we will still point the finger to ourselves  just because we are Nigerians.

It is  shamefull and  a heart breaking thing but I am happy that there are still a few here that reason and stand up for their human rights as human beings first and second as Nigerians. Not as second class citizens living as slaves as Egoldman nicely put it.

@ babeelove, Millitia and so many of you that think the raid was justified
I hope one day you will  witness something similar like this police injustice just because you are a Nigerian and laugh about it! Whereby they will manhandle you  just because you went to a show, walked on a street or in your house.  Disgrace you in front of your fellow Africans and people to see, handcuff in you nice and stylish wears just because you are an African and (maybe) did not carry your documents with you because that happened to my aunty and so many others . The majority of the people that were arrested were woman  about 67 %.

To be honest, Militia just said it as it is. You really can't always support your "child's" behaviour all the time especially when you know they should have applied some reasoning before doing the things they did. Militia does have an awesome sense of humour that's for sure.
