Guys why talk like that?  you never know it may creep up on you tomorrow. Whoever said waist pain was only for the old eh! i happen to have waist pain and i cannot even remember how or when it started. I have done x-rays, taken drugs etc but it just wouldnt go.

The first Doctor i saw in England asked me to loose some weight, the second said it had to do with my boobs (cuz am busty) he recommended boobs reduction. The third here in naija said it had nothing to do with both.

My dears, which one of them is right? the good thing about it is that the pain is not constant it comes and goes. All i do now is pray!

hi waist pain people, I am a medical students at LUTH so my opinion is a lot guided concerning the issue. When we hear pain, the first thing that comes to our minds as Medical persons is TRAUMA. May be you have caused a physical injury to that part of your body consciously or unconsciously.

I'd not want to start prescribing any therapy, What I think is the best is whenever you have such visit a VERY GOOD doctor for neccesary diagnostic procedures.

This is the right attitude that should be imbibed by all HEALTH SEEKERS

@bebe2007,
Your "come and go" pain could be due to excessive bedminton  Wink

Seriously, have you had a comprehensive health check lately? Waist pain or any kind of pain could be the manifestation of some problem in other areas.
You should have a detailed investigation done.

hmm many things can cause waist pain.  when u go to your doctor make sure u are very descriptive of the type of pain, does it radiate anywhere, what exercebates it and what alleviates the pain.  Scale of pain, when it started, does anyone else in your family have that type of pain as well.  those are questions he normally should ask, and u should probably tell anyway.

If there is pain in your waist, back, throbbing or numb feeling, you will naturally be in a puzzle about how it occurred and how to cure the pain. Studies reveal that 90 per cent of mankind suffers from back, shoulder or neck pain during some period of life.

This may be as a result of the accumulated stress which has piled up over the time, so many things we do not take
so serious cause this waist pain we are talking about. Take for instance a high hill shoe, when you put it on will not allow you to maintain balance, this will in turn lead to waist pain.

Among the many complex reasons which cause back pain one of the most common is the irritation of the many large and small nerves which originate at lower back and spread right up to the feet or palms. The erector spinae may also get strained and cause severe waist pain.

Thats like telling us to fix a leak in the ocean. Need some details! describe the pain. Sharp? Throbbing? Always same place? In front or back? Ever move? Pressure help? L or R side? Below the lint catcher? Age? Injured ever? Play sports?

Need to diagnose the problem for us cause we no long make house calls. Wait! She a looker? Grin

I guess almost every thing's been said about the causes.You need to go for a scan to be sure you do not have a dislocation of any damaged tissues or even arthritis.Try not to sit for too long.Don't stay in any position that makes you strain for too long.Get a massage.

In the meantime you can take any food item or supplement that contains the Omega Oils ( fish oils,vegetable oils and oils from nuts).They are very good for joint pains .Alternatively you can take SWISSGARDE's NAFDAC approved Omega Plus.
