Peoplez,
I've always known it will come to this. HITV will go the way of FSTV and the likes that came before it. The wise ones will keep their DSTV. One thing I know for sure, if DSTV was nigerian, we'll be paying more and getting less.

In the interim, can anyone in the houze help out with how else one can watch the premiership matches. I live in Port Harcourt, and I know it will be the beginning of the next season before LOWTV hets here if they ever do. Many thanks.

It is amazing when people say DSTV goes 4 10k and HITV goes 4 3k. That's a bigger scam than the normal 419 boys.
HITV sells the Premiership and La Liga for 3k
DSTV sells the VERY BEST IN SPORTS (Minus premiership and Minus La liga) including Total Tennis, Total Golf, Total Cricket, Total basket ball, above average football, F1, many sports talk shows, 24hrs highlights and so much more, They also sell the ULTIMATE IN NEWS, the ULTIMATE IN MOVIES, the SUPER ULTIMATE IN DOCUMENTARIES, the BEST OF CARTOONS, the BEST SOAPS, 24 hrs NOLLYWOOD and TOO much more for 10k

Clearly HITV would be bought by people who buy things as a hobby. Nobody I know would drop DSTV and go and purchase HITV. The worst that would happen is someone getting 2 decoders.

This would last for only 1 or 2 seasons. Do not forget that THE ENGLISH FA did not sell the rights to HITV for life. It was sold for a couple of seasons or only 1 sef. At the end of this, it would be general bidding again. Do you think HITV would outbid DSTV in the open market HuhHuh THINK AGAIN.

i mean those that bought the satelite package that have not been watching. not for those that have the cable package.its only with the smart cards that you can  access the network.and  the smart card doesnt work on dstv decoder. it works only on hitvs  decoder.

@ RuuDie,

Was with HITV GM, Mr Benjamin yesterday & we spoke for almost an hour. I was able to have an indepth knowledge of how the whole thing works/would work.

Been on HITV(satellite) for a week now. What you & others who have been watching HITV channels before now have is d cable/analog stuff.

Satellite means u are to use a DSTV-like dish with HITV decoder/smartcard for the channels. Satellite channels were switched ON yesterday @ about 7.30pm.

Had only 2 test channels ON till last night that I re-scanned the channels & got 10 working. They are still ON now. They are:
BBC WORLD, HINOLLY, HIKIDS, HILIFE, HIOVATION, HISPORTS1,2&3, GODTV, EUROSPORTS.

Other foreign channels like CNN, FOXSPORTS, ECHANNEL, LBC etc would be switched ON gradually.

Reason why all the channels were not uploaded @ once is to give high priority to English Premiership & other football leagues, which he(HITV GM) believes is the main reason why people are getting HITV.

You MUST use a decoder/smartcard to view the channels, cos of subscription. I only bought HITV decoder/card, disconnect my DSTV decoder, didnt touch the dish, connect HITV decoder, slot in d card, imputed d frequency parameters given me @ their office & searched for d channels. Am watching it as am writing this post from my fone.

Pls dont throw away your DSTV dish, dont touch d dish either. It's useful for HITV.

DSTV didnt get to where they were today @ once, it took years. Let's support HITV for they've got lots to offer us. They are not fake please. MTN, also a South African company cheated us for lonp(remember PER SECOND BILLING), but GLO our Naija company came up with PSB @ launch! What did MTN do, they changed song! HITV is our own, it must not & will not fail.

For any question/suggestions/enquiries, call HITV GM on 01-8778771.

why is it dat anybody dat know an insider always come out to support them,  something is not working lets face it,  they aint ready, why didnt they give us all of the options be4 coming on air and increasing their prices with style,  even heard they are doing a promo dat gives one full year free subscription for 55k (wat happens to their old subscribers)?,  and what makes u think Glo has been impressive compared with MTN,  let dem wake up!!!
