Here is a very hard riddle.
There are 100 people. The king tells the 100 people that the next morning they will be lined up in a straight line with a hat on top of their heads which has a number. The guy in the far back (who can see 99 people in front of him) will have to try and guess the number on top of his head. The numbers on the hats will be 1, 2 or 3 (that's it). They are only allowed to say 1, 2, or 3. They get the whole night to discuss a strategy on how to save the maximum amount of people. Once the first guy says what he thinks is on his head it will go to the next guy who can see 98 people in front of him. And so on. If they say the wrong number they die instantly. There is also no cheating and looking back to help people. And they can't look at their hats. Remember the guy in the far back can see all hats in front of him except his. The guy in the 50th position can see 49 people's hats. How is it possible that the only guy who has a chance of being killed is the first man who has to guess first. Everyone else is automatically saved.

i don't really understand it but i will still have a go at it, because he is 1 but he would think he is 100 and then say 100.

Just having a go here !!!!! First of all they all stand in a circle facing the back of the person in front of them. Next they take a look at the number on the hat of the guy in front. Next they turn right around and everybody places their hat on the person in front of them now. Thereby now wearing the hat they had earlier seen the number of and saving their lifes?

UMMM, It's possible for d first guy which is d 100th guy to have a better chance of bein' killed because he can only see d backs of the 99 heads in front of him, thereby, still unable to see the numbers on them and since he has to go first, he'd instantly be killed.
