Nairalanders, pls help me on how to remove a virus that brings a dialog box containing kata mutiara when computer is booting. It all started when a friend brought an ipod to my computer. This ipod was infected and it gave my computer this virus.
This virus does some funny things at startup of my computer. It opens my local disk window, renders my antivirus useless and does not allow window task manager to operate any more.

your best bet is 2 reformat your Operating system but make sure u backup first.

when it affects a system d best u can do is 2 reformat cos u will not b able to do anything meaningful even if u have an antivirus so reinstall your operating system.

Even if u backup d data on it n refomart d virus is stl on data u backup 4rm d system. wt u nd 2 do is 2 frmat it wt d document.

when u backup u can then scan your backup if your AV is up2date u can remove the virus u cannot do anything now cos the effect has taken place. Backup in a separate harddisk or flash or maybe anoda partition.
