Just like how an African-American would swear up and down that they don't have any white and or American-Indian mixture in them because they have no recollection of any non-black relatives in their family tree; a genealogy test would show them that they do from a member who came into the mix farther back in time than they have knowledge of. The same situation definitely holds true for these two chicks. If I were a betting man, I'd put the bank on it. |

Ibidun is pure Yoruba, I can vouch for that, she was in faculty of science, and finished with my friends in '03, no big deal. I have other yoruba friends extremely fair complexioned, its really no big deal. Maybe its not as frequent or common as with the Igbo people, but it happens a lot. But hey, why am I trying to convince some silly AA who feels he knows the length and breadth of Nigerian genealogy and genetic make up as to be able to look at someone and immediately tell her tribal origins? Hey, you can continue on insisting on the obvious falsehood of that those two chicks are PURE Yoruba if you'd like--- but I'm telling you once again, right now that they aren't. Somewhere down the branches of their family tree they've got some type of mixture, and I'm 85-90% sure of it. Just because there's no known mixed doesn't mean that there's none there. Like I explained before, many AA have mixtures though such mixtures within their bloodline/genes came into play so long ago, and I'm talking 4, 5, 6 and more generations ago--- that many may not know of it and thus live with the opinion of that they are PURE negro or black as most would say over here, and that is surely the case with many of Africans as well. But with these two chicks, the evidence is blatant. Their mixtures came into play no more than like 3 generations ago. I'd put money on it. They barely possess any profound common Yoruba features, yet lots of common Northern and Eastern ethnic ones ones. Any fool can see this clear as day, and if anything--- perhaps their Yoruba traits may be within their body structures; I can't tell from those pics, but in the face they they show little to no Yoruba. Their hair type, skin tone, lip form, Jaw structure, head shape and eyes are not that of your average Yoruba. |

See that's why you cannot tell which tribe a person is from just by their looks. Some people have features that are distinctly tribe-specific but others, you'll never know. Take Genevieve, for example. She's Igbo and I'm Yoruba but many people I've met who watch her movies tell me I look just like her. Even non-Nigerians tell me so too. So will you say her beauty is because of her tribe or anything like that? Its not just tribes, its across race as well. I've seen an Arab who looks exactly like my Hausa friend except in skin colour. Everything was the same; even the way they both smile, the way they turned their head in a particular mood, it was shocking. I have a Malaysian and a Pakistani friend who look like twins, except that one is slightly lighter than the other. So, my people, looks has nothing to do with race or even tribe, we're all the same. |

I've seen some nice looking Yoruba girls, though like I've been saying, I know a Yoruba when I see one and most of those chicks posted are in no way Yoruba and or ((PURELY)) Yoruba.
