Idea on Toyota Avalon
« on: August 15, 2007, 12:07 PM »

Fellow Nairalanders,
Please i need your advice (auto gurus), I'm presently using a 1998/99 Toyota camry but thinking switching to Toyota Avalon 2000 model above. I need information about Avalon is it like Camry in terms of performance, maintainance, fuel consumption etc. Give me an idea of its cost in Naija. Some say the car is for senior citizens but I'm in my mid 30's, Thanks.

2000 avalon is a nice car. fuel consumption is ok compared to the other cars in its class just because its a toyota. But u have to understand the fuel consumption is going to be higher than the current car. maintenance cost will be more or less be the same. spare parts r available, but its not going to come cheap compared to ur current car.

sorry i don't have one for u, but i can't hook u up with a 2004 toyota camry Le edition
The car is tokunbo (from US, never used in naija).
It has 34000miles
It has standard features- AC, power windows and locks, keyless entry, cloth interior, CD/cassette player, power seat (driver seat).

Selling price 2.4m (negotiable)

All you need to know is the 2004 camry's overall maintenance cost is very afforadable compared to how much u going to buy it. am talkin from fuel to parts to maintenace. and like any other car all u have to do is change oil every 4000miles +/- 1000miles and u wont have any problem. unless off course u have an accident (God forbid).
