I see you're a James Hadley Chase fan - are you really? Just for that, hmmm . . . Of course! Boy did I read those books. I was an avid reader of JHC--- Knock knock Who's There Tell it to the Birds The Goldfish Has No Hiding Place Tiger By the Tail The Way the Cookie Crumbles---------- And so on and so forth my dear! You resting good? Can't sleep today. Rained, so played music all day today. Good job in the political section. So proud of you ma love. You should feature more often---in the intellectual topics of course. Not the myopic tribal and sectarian ones for the "puny" minded! Later then! Will surprise you again sooooooooooooooon!!!

Almond, I read EVERY single one! I still have plenty, any title you mention, I can give you the outline! That is wonderful! You "Sucker Punch" Please give me an outline--I would love to read those again though I am not good at sitting in one place for long. It would serve as an outlet to escape Nairaland. Please give me some more titles so I can order them online. Will try from here too---or when I visit again! Have a truck load ready for me preferably hard back not paper back. See? So much in common already. You be my hydrogen and I would be your oxygen and vice versa--we could make sweet water----H-2-O with that. What sayeth you? How good is your elementary chemistry from Nigeria if you schooled in Nigeria that is? I went to Federal Government College Warri. So you can understand my craziness for "guys"! I just had to be sent to a school with boys in it! Then Daddy got wise and sent me to an all girls' school for "A" levels--too late then! This "cockoo" had "flew" over the "nest"! Do you remember a certain obnoxious chemistry textbook called "Holderness and Lambert" Just look up the difference between "the Hydrogen Bonding" and the "Van der Waal" forces and let me know what you think! Later pumpkin pie! Got to work on ma financial investments today. Off to see my broker! Love you! XXXXXXXXXMILO

Van der waal is weak. How about ionic bonds Super super weak! I usually go for "hydrogens"

I have forgotten a major chunk of my chemistry now. But I think Hydrogen bonding is more stronger.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I just ran off to wikipedia for a quick check (God bless that site). It seems to disagree. Unless if this is not the current thinking these dayz, but the way I learnt it was , Strong bonds---- Covalent and Ionic bonds while Weak bonds include -----Hydrogen bonds and Van der waal forces I don't know if the current thinking is different now

You may be right---I may have stopped at Hydrogen may be in dire need of an upgrade? What do you say? If u need an upgrade, I definitely recommend covalent bonding Opposite charges is the basic concept here

I thought so too! I think we all need to head back to Wikidoodle for a good research project. My recollection from all that is that "the Hydrogen" bond was the strongest of all bonds as far as intermolecular interactions where concerned. Who knows now? More may have been discovered. Where is ma "purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrsonal engineer and physicist" Siena to help us out here?

Who said it is a "her"? Almondjoy is a messenger only. Just pick a personality you have a message for and you can be rest assured "your message" will be delivered! Let us see! MILITIA is too busy chasing Siena around the place to accept any messages. BABEELOVE got dumped by Uche2nna Afrodixie---Only God knows if Laudate will ever return her calls---too busy in church I guess! Antimony is still after grafikdon--for some kind of unfinished business and the list goes on and on.--------------------------------------- My Oh My!!!!!! Almondjoy--just a messenger!

If u need an upgrade, I definitely recommend covalent bonding Opposite charges is the basic concept here I think so! But as things stand now, we are all unsure about the status of the "strongest" bonds. So having done ma homework--- I will get right with the "strongest" bond. Just like to go for the very best---always!

Hydrogen bondFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search An example of a quadruple hydrogen bond between a self-assembled dimer complex reported by Meijer and coworkers.[1] Intramolecular hydrogen bonding in acetylacetone helps stabilize the enol tautomer Carboxylic acids often form dimers in vapor phase. A hydrogen bond is a special type of dipole-dipole bond that exists between an electronegative atom and a hydrogen atom bonded to another electronegative atom. This type of bond always involves a hydrogen atom, thus the name. Hydrogen bonds can occur between molecules (intermolecularly), or within different parts of a single molecule (intramolecularly).[2] The typical hydrogen bond is stronger than van der Waals forces, but weaker than covalent, ionic and metallic bonds.Intermolecular hydrogen bonding is responsible for the high boiling point of water (100 °C), as opposed to other group 16 hydrides. Intramolecular hydrogen bonding is partly responsible for the secondary, tertiary, and quaternary structures of proteins and nucleic acids. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen_bond

Okay Uche2nna--you cheated---had to snoop in wikidoodle didn't you? I guess we have 3 other options open. Covalent, ionic and metallic.! All higher than the "hydrogen" bond. This means there is a lot of room for "upgrading", having identified the van der waals and the hydrogens!
