one of my friends is a ghananian and she's always mad when a nigerian show is on or when a tv presenter is from nigeria. yesterday she just bumped into me and said look i'm sick of you 9gas, you are all over like yo, you think you are better than errbody. later i asked her wasup, she said when a programme was ended on OBE tv they wrote an african and nigerian production and also nollywood is everywhere in ghana and they don't see any risks over there, she now said i'll never holla @ you or any Nigeria again, i said you are our least problem. and we stopped talking. do i eat my words and apologise or just damn things. ( i think someone from Nigeria has done something she doesn't like 'because her exboyfriend is from 9geria, you know people can't just rxt like that.)

I feel you. Other people in this place regard all Nigerians as a threat. But from experience, I'll advice you to talk to your friend about it and let her tell you how she really feels about Nigerians. And she might be thinking that way because her exbf is a Nigerian and we never really knows what happened between both of them. You'll be surprised what she comes up with when you talk to her, there's no need for you to say sorry, just talk to her.Good luck

For me i don't think thats neccesary, because she was hurt by one individual doesnt mean she should think all nigerians are the same. i have many Ghananians as friend, and they all have attitude. The only reason i am able to cope with them is that i stand on my point, they either love it or hate it, there is no need for apology.

No need for apology over what is not your problem, but you can men the situatio and help her get over her neurosis - Nigerian-phobia!

yes I agree with you Seun, but her hatred for Nigerians is not only beacause of her Ex, also beacuse Nollywood is everywhere in Ghana and stuffs like that. She can help mend their friendship situation, but its gon be hard to help her get over her "nurosis-Nigerian-phobia"

Your friend has bigger problems, i don't believe in generalising especially when it comes to people, she is obviously pissed about naijas because she has this feeling that we are doing better then they are ( while we actually think they are doing better then we are) Life. She has a lot of anger bottled up may be her ex bobo caused it

The problem she's having with Nigeria is like the problem most people have with d US, and that is being too proud, all she need do is learn to stop hating and pour that anger into sumthin positive.
