What football team (clubs) plays the most exciting, entertaining football in the world during the past ten years in the world regardless of winning. These often cause great arguments between among football fans in the world. I would like to know your take on this.
The other question is who is the best manager between this three ALEX FERGUSON, ARSENE WENGER, MOURINHO, SAM ALLERDYCE
I think ARSENAL does

Hello!!!!!!!! Thanks very much for such an interesting topic.I think the best ie classical and entertaining football is in SPAIN.If you say for the the last 10years, then I will give credit to Real Madrid eventhough they are currently not very performent. Then the possible next can be Manchester United ,despite their average or less performant football like in the pass.Barca is presently the best that is better than Real.Chelsea is just coming up but I wish to admit they do not play entertaining football ,they are out to win by all cost hence their rough or brutal way of play just as the Italians. For the best Manager,I think credit goes to Sir ALEX who is able to put in his best and ensure the winning spirit of his boys are alive.Mourino is interligent but still has much to learn as per manners and others. This explains why the Man.United manager has as title SIR attached in his name. Also he proved it by beating Chelsea when his position was treaten ie Man.United 1-0 Chelsea. He has also topped the English premier for long before Asenal and today Chelsea . Hope all the views is cleared.

All views are cleared just doesnt agree with u to some extent on the manegerial issue. oOne can see u must be a Man united fan. No doubt he has done a gret job in the club history and his achievement cannot be compared with the other three managers. But he did it with the maximum available money. But i would like to know your views on the other three managers. I believe Arsene wenger should be acknowledged first before any of the other three given his achievement sice his arrival at Arsenal. He won the double twice, won the premiership three or four times and never finish outside the top two, the quality of player youngsters he brought to the club with little money, went a whole season without been defeted and other things but the champion league still remains his greatest setback. Since his arrival he has never made a loss financially for the club on like others with the exception of Sam Allerdyce

Nice topic
Most entertaining, exciting football team in the World -
Barcelona (5 star)
Arsenal ( 4 star)
Lyon (4 star)
Corinthians (3.5 stars)
That's my take. If I have to choose one, I go for Barcelona.

You can't say Barca are not entertaing. You have your opinions though.
What I call entertaining is watching a team move the ball around the feild crisply (with the ball on the ground) and doing it with a good dose of flair, a little bit of style here and a little bit of poise there.
Barcelona, I'm afraid are the only team that can produce such stuff consistently.
For Arsenal, it depends on us having a good day. On our good day though, there are very few teams that can compete against us. But consistency is lacking.

You may lack consistency this season because of this small boys in your team. Pie1ect go and take Arsenal's season review for the past 5 years.
Sit back on Arm-chair and watch Barca two weekends and MAKE YOUR COMPARISON.

If ure talkin about entertainin n excitin football, watch arsenal The speed, the skills, the passes, the thrills, the uncertainty! As for manager, i think wenger has tried. top 2 for 9yrs, FA cups, EPL cups with very little budget n competin wth money bags, its a great achievement I am an arsenal fan but am not biased in my analysis. the others like man u, chelsea, they got the money n the big names! So as far as achievement, WENGER is the man. Peace!!

This is a very difficult one. The most exciting football team in the world CURRENTLY is BARCELONA by miles. This is the only team that consistently entertain and excite football fans all over the world week in-week out!!!!!!!!. Ronaldinho and Messi on their own are a great football spectacle that put smiles on people's faces every match day. I think ARSENAL plays wonderful football but they can be very inconsistent and sometimes unruly with their style of play. Barcelona is the only team out there that wins football matches convincingly. They take large amount of possession,free-kicks, higher shots on goal and the most outrageous football skills ever witnessed in the footballing world.
Manchester United as a team can also produce sublime and crisp football but they are always plagued with injuries every season which sometimes mar the performance of a team as a whole. I doubt if any team can match Man Utd's attacking supremacy and superiority if ALL the players are FIT to play!!!!!!!!!
CHELSEA on the other hand are very efficient with their approach of getting the job DONE but they are the most BORING team u will ever see on your TV. The team's strength lies in their ability to lock the defence and their main PRIORITY is NOT TO CONCEED GOALS. The team gets the ball quickly to LAMPARD(Their best player) who throws a long ball forward for the strikers to knock in.
The best Manager amongst those 4 is unarguably SIR ALEX FERGUSON. His ability to motivate and develop young players into legends is awesome. He is the only manager in the premiership that does not employ defensive tactics, His team always attack irrespective of which team they play.
Second on this list is Jose Mourinho. He is indeed the special one and can motivate players to bring their very best out on any matchday, He is hungry and his no nonsense approach is the fuel to the chelsea machine. A very clever manager but BORING tactics and sometimes off the pitch incidents are not doing his image any good. I think he is also fortunate to quickly build on Ranieri's team foundation. Essien is the only convincing buy he has made since joining chelsea. Robben,Lampard,Terry,Cech,Joe Cole,Duff and Crespo were all Ranieri's properties. Most of the players he bought were all mediocre. Kezman, Drogba, Thiago, Carvallho and even Maniche were sheer waste of money. Moreover, his recent dismal performance at the Nou camp is appaling. He needs to learn more to rank with the likes of Fabio Capello and Vincente Del Bosque.
Arsene Wenger is the 3rd best. No doubt, arsenal plays the most exciting football on their day. He has been able to mould his team like the Brazilians and the overall output is excellent. Wenger's weakness lies in the fact that he has no PLAN B. Tip-Tap football does not always work and Wenger is sometimes confused and he lacks the cutting edge to break teams down. Arsene only knows one way to attack and that is crisp ground passes. he rarely uses the wing or the long ball approach to WIN matches. For instance,i rarely see Ljunberg or Pires making crosses for Henry or Reyes to score. If he can perfect on this weakness, he cld be the best.

men!!! AKOLAWOLE is too biased. How in this world will anybody say that the Gunners are the most entertaining team? And to say that entertainment doesn't go together with result is the sorriest thing i've ever read.
my candid opinion and the opinion of the generality of unbiased football lovers is that BARCA IS IT. maybe UEFA should have paired Barcelona with Arsenal so that we can all see.
As per the best coach out of the four, I'll go for mourinho regardless of his dysentery infected mouth. In the world, I'll choose Capello.
By the way, Akolawole, I'm a Gunner to the core and next season will be wonderful for us because at the moment, we're just gelling.

I am not biased, i am not a gunner, but i don't know what you boys called "entertainment & Encitement".
You need to see the trophyless Brazil in the 80's and see the real E & E, where every player can play fotball, can caress football.
I have watched virtually all Arsenal matches for the past 6 years, i know exactly what i am saying.
Beacause Barca had about 4 players that can do the "flicks" will never make them the best E & E team.
@Codec
Yes valencia.
Pie1ect, can you tell members how E& E Totenham and Blackburn is this year?

Can you please answer both questions please Once again, the question is about: What team plays the most entertaining football for the past ten (1996-2006) years to date and which one of these four managers can you consider the best out of these four managers (Arsene Wenger, Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho and Sam Allerdyce) and some analysis is required to your given answers.

In terms of their achievements and bringing the best out of the players at their disposal, including their style of play of their adopted teams. Basically your criteria of what makes a good manager. Don't forget how their infuence on their respective teams has improved the image of their football club on the world stage.

@Author
Four of them are completely different but they are all achievers
1) Mr Wenger: Former Economics lecturer in the University, what do you expect, he can buy a player with #20 in a village in Anambra and turn him to a Superstar within a twinkle of an eye e.g Nicholas Anelka for £500,000 was turned to £23m A believer in exciting football with a good Man-management. A father-figure, check the list of player's menu in hotel and quickly reject the meals that is not good for footballers. 2) ALEX Ferguson: With the help of Peter Kenyon, he turned United to the Richest club in the world(though they lost the place to Real Madrid). Won so many trophies for the English club. Deals with players as if they are his student, he can kick you, he do not have respect for your millions. 3) Sam Aladyce: Long ball specialist, Performing well with his old brigades. Can bully any team to get the maximum three points. No trophies in premier division yet but he is good.
4) Jose Mourinho: Proud to say he is my favourite. UEFA's Coach of the year for three straight year. Has no single diplomacy hence his problems with many people. Will never accept defeats, in fact, he hates defeat. In terms of instilling winning mentality onto players, he is the best. He can tell Enugu Ranger's Goalkeeper that he is the best in the world. He will tell off his players anywhere when they mis-behave. He is good.

@Akolawole Thanks for you analysis. But can you say that jose mourinho has improved the image of the club than arsene wenger, alex ferguson and sam allerdyce. From what i've see here in the UK he has single handedly turned chelsea to the most hated club in the UK if not in the world regardless of their winning runs. People would rather go to see Arsena, and Man united play than watching chelsea. Infact some people prefer the old chelsea than the new one whith the likes of, Zola, Gustavo Poyet, Andre Flo, Babayaro, Dennis Wise, Paetrescu were still their even though the never won the league. They were a joy to watch
Any young talent would love to go to arsenal or man utd, why? rather than going chelsea. Where by the oldies and the youngs would love to go to Bolton cause of the tremendus work sam allerdyce has been doing their since his appointment has manager, why? because the image of the club has been influenced and improved by him.
With sir alex ferguson, i think he has an habit of not been in favor of some of his players after using them, selling them off e.g dwight york, andy cole, david becham, and now the same is happenning to van nistoroy 5dont know how to spell his name), instead of polishing them. Again he wasted so much money on players who are not worth the prize tagged e.g alan smith, rio ferdinand, rooney. He payed too mich on them.
But wenger, i can't see what he's doing wrong except for the fact that he needs to get midfielders who can hit the ball through the defense when they can't seem to break a defense.

I am an Arsenal fan so I am slightly biased and I do not really watch any other league.
So based on only the English League I have to say in the last 10 years the best football for me has come from the Arsenal Team of 2004.
They played some sublime one touch football that was a joy to watch. The whole team gelled.
For second I would have to say the Chelsea team under Ranieiri was a joy to watch but their defence was quite weak.
Manchester United at times can play great football but do not do it consistently when Manchester United plays a team as good as them they resort to bullying tactics and kicking players.

@Babwills Our problem is not really Mourinho its the Sudden wealth. We are what Yoruba will call " ojo ti o su to nro" i.e The rain that shows no sign but stated rainning".
Lecturer Wenger is not a saint at all, to him nobody is better than him. Up till today, he is the only premiership manager that never say Congratulation to Chelsea.
He dumped his players as well: When Barca and Madrid were offering Viera fortune for 4 consecutive years, he keep fooling the boy but he end up selling Viera to Juve for Peanut .

I was shocked when i heard vieira was sold. Also if you are going to sell a world class midfielder not for that small cash. I'm sure he had his reasons and i always have faith in what ever he decides to do. Probably sold him because if vieira remains at the club the likes of fabregas and flamini will never shine until another three years, Vieira still remains my second best midfielder of all time

Vieira (m)

The reason Vieira was sold is simply because everyone had got fed up with Vieira causing drama every season with his will he go or will he not nonsense. It was annoying everyone that for almost 4 years the same tori.
And always getting a pay raise and then for it to start again.
Wenger had enough and decided he needed to sell him esp as during the last season Vieira was not very good for Arsenal.

@Vieira. Have you forgotten vieira had injury most of the time during the 2004-2005 season, that was when likes of flamini and fabregas came into lime light. Anyway they missed the guy presence.
