Hsmp Entry Application
« on: August 17, 2007, 12:57 PM »

Please, I just got my HSMP letter . Can anyone enlighten me on what document to include in my application with the British High. How much do you think is reasonable to be in the statement of account I will be submitting.

Reallhyip. You would need to apply with the following.

All the docs you used for your HSMP application.
Proof of funds. Account statements. CSCS statements etc.
Proof of employment. A letter from your employer ok.
Letter offering accomodation from a friend in the uk. A copy of his passport and proof that he stays at his address. or a confirmed hotel booking
Proof of marriage if you are. Pix, certificate etc
These should be sufficient and make sure that all the docs do not contradict.

Proof of age: birth certificate/ school leaving certificate or passport
Educational qualifications - degree certificate and mark sheets for all years
Work experience certificates for all companies you have worked in. For current employer, appointment letter and salary slips for last few months. In addition, you can enclose promotion/ salary revision letters, tax returns
Tax returns if you are claiming points for income
For self employed individuals, we will need balance sheets, profit and loss statements, income tax returns for atleast 3-5 years. In addition, copies of client/ supplier references, contracts/ agreements are desirable
Documents evidencing "senior level" or "specialist" work experience OR "significant/ exceptional achievements". Applicable only if you are claiming points for this

Spouse's Documents
These documents are required ONLY if you are claiming points for spouse skills.
Proof of age: birth certificate/ school leaving certificate or passport
Educational qualifications: degree certificate and mark sheets for all years
Marriage certificate
Proof that you are married for more than 2 years. Eg. telephone/ electricity bill, joint bank accounts, investments, society bill, property documents etc.

* The application form you will need to complete will depend upon your age group. If you are 28 years of age or over, you should apply on form HSMP 1. If you are under 28 years of age, you should apply on form HSMP 1(28).

* Passport of children is not required at the approval stage. These will however be required at the entry clearance stage (post approval of HSMP visa).

the fees are as followed
Entry clearance [post approval]=179GBP, While HSMP visa application =676.842GBP.
Adding the two and converting it to nigerian currency using 260NAIRA FOR 1GBP.YOU'LL GET 225560.
I hope i've answered your question.best of luck.If you need any further assistance,do not hesitate to reach me,goodluck

HSMP is know as Highly Skilled Migrant Program.

This is a highly skilled worker category scheme
designed to allow highly skilled people to
go to the United Kingdom to look for
work or self-employment opportunities

Who can apply as a highly skilled worker?
Unlike our work permits (soon to be replaced by sponsored skilled workers - tier 2),
you do not need a job offer to apply under the highly skilled worker category.
When you apply you are awarded points based on your qualifications, previous earnings,
United Kingdom experience, age, English language skills, and available maintenance (funds).

You can apply under the highly skilled worker category now if you are:

in the United Kingdom with permission to stay (known as 'leave to remain')
in an immigration category that allows you to switch into the highly skilled worker category;
already in the United Kingdom as a highly skilled worker and want to extend your permission
to stay within your existing category;
already in the United Kingdom under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme,
want to extend your permission to stay and are eligible to switch into the highly skilled worker category;
applying for permission to enter the United Kingdom (known as 'entry clearance') under the highly skilled worker category.

=======================
Required Documents
=======================
For every claim you make on your
application forms, submit a corresponding document
to attest to it.

=====================
Reasonable Bank Statement
=====================
Your bank statement will
reflect your life style and
earnings, No need cooking anything up
it is easily detectable, You don't need to
be super trained to spot the lies in a bank
statement

So my advise is keep it Genuine and simple.
