INSTRUCTION TO CANDIDATES ON 2007/2008 SCREENING EXRERCISE
UME candidates who applied to Federal University of Technology, Minna for admission for the 2007/2008 session as well as remedial candidates of the University can now register online. Below are detailed instructions on the registration process.
A. REGISTRATION FOR THE SCREENING
The present registration exercise is restricted to only Remedial and UME candidates whose 1st and/or 2nd choice is Federal University of Technology, Minna.
The registration of Direct Entry candidates will follow later.
Registration is done online at:
www.futminna.org Candidates should enter their JAMB or Remedial Registration Number and click “send” on the menu. A page containing relevant information on them will be displayed.
This page should be printed out and must be presented with a passport photograph attached to it during the screening exercise.
JAMB candidates must present original copies of their UME result slip during the screening. Remedial candidates should present their FUT ID cards.
Remedial and UME candidates will be screened on 1st September, 2007.
Candidates should arrive at the venue by 7.00 a.m.
Scratch cards for checking screening results and admission status will be available as from the day of screening at cost of N750.00 each.

B. ON THE SCREEENING DAY
During the screening exercise, candidates must fill the various sections of the OMR form (answer sheet) CORRECTLY.
The OMR form has sections and is numbered from 1 to 8 as indicated below:
Registration Number.
First write your registration number in the 10 boxes. Proceed to shade the appropriate figure or letter under each box.
For Remedial Candidates, ALL Registration numbers start with 2006, followed by remedial number (4 figures) and end with code RM e.g. 20064567RM
Option. (Question paper type)
Your course of choice falls under FOUR Options: A, B, C, D. (see below). Your question booklet will carry the option indicated on your screening registration print-out. Shade the letter that corresponds to your course on the OMR form.
3) Sex
For Male candidates, shade Male; For Female candidates shade Female
4) Mode of Entry
JAMB candidates should shade UME.
Remedial candidates should shade REM.
5) Name: Surname first, then other name(s). Leave Spaces between names.
Candidates must first write their names on the spaces provided. Proceed to shade the appropriate letter under each box, surname (family name) first, leave a space, then shade the other names as exemplified below: UMARU BOLAJI OBI

Each course offered in the University has a THREE letter code. (see below).
Candidates must first write their chosen 1st choice course code on the spaces provided. Proceed to shade the appropriate letter under each box.

Write the chosen 2nd choice course code on the spaces provided. Proceed to shade the appropriate letter under each box.

ANSWER SECTION
There will be a total of 100 questions. Each question has FIVE options (A, B, C, D, E). Shade the letter that corresponds to your answer.
Candidates are expected to answer ALL questions.
