where is the evidence you have that 'most' girls will lie about their virginity?
Of the 10+ girls I know of their 'status', only 1 has told me she is a virgin, the other 9 have told me that they are not, and I am pretty certain even that 1 is not lying. If I were to conclude based on that, then NO girls lie about their virginity.
the fact that explanations/motivations have been given as to why some lie, and the actual specific form of virginity they refer to, I still don't see the source of your conclusion,

the origin of the poll is very cogent in this case, it serves to lay the basis for the blanket condemnation you have made and your resulting attitude.
The few ladies that have replied to this thread would NOT lie about it, if we took a poll of them, the result would also be 0%.
if we don't know what demographic you considered, how can we comment on the veracity or otherwise of the results?

A girl who by lying places her value on what's between her legs, is as worse and as guilty as the guy who values her on her virginity.
Sure the generalization is guys prefer virgin girls, it's just that I don't see that as an excuse to lie about who you are. Be upfront about your past, don't give a guy a reason to degrade, or as you put it "dehumanize" you. You acknowledged that the presence or absence of virginity does not determine your personality, so as you can see the lies are unnecessary.
It's puzzling how many african nations are responsible for making young girls feel 70% of their self worth is stamped in their virginity. Thinking men know virginity has very little to do with a woman's value.
So do please, lying to impress a guy is not worth it. Not even the back breaking white lies did you bother reading this stuff I typed?
