. . . maybe it's because he loves being on court longer than any other player.  He took the next two sets to progress to the second round.

Henman leads 2 sets to 1.  He prolly wants to delay his retirement.

Yea, the dude was lucky.

Blake also survived a 5-set thriller.  The US number two was pushed to his limits by the veteran Santoro, playing in his 16th US Open, before concluding the 6-4 3-6 6-2 4-6 6-4 victory to earn the first five-set win of his career.

American number one Andy Roddick, meanwhile, was leading Jose Acasuso 4-6 6-1 6-2 when the Argentina was forced to retire with a knee injury, allowing the fifth seed to move into the third round.

Berdych beat Simone Bolelli 7-5 6-3 6-3. He meets Verdasco next.

Nikolay Davydenko also strolled into the third round with an imposing 6-2 6-2 6-2 win over Germany's Nicolas Kiefer. He meets Nicolas Almagro next.

Lee beat Canas 7-5, 7-5, 6-3; faces Murray next.

i don't think so actually

Jankovic has major weaknesses in her game especially her serve

so she is quite vulnerable.

Henman has finally retired. He was thrashed by Tsonga 7-6, 2-6, 7-5, 6-4. Tsonga will now meet Nadal, who advanced to the third round when Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic retired in the third set after receiving treatment for a rib injury.  The Spaniard was leading 6-2 6-3 3-2 when Tipsarevic approached him during the changeover, shook his hand and announced he had to quit the match after one hour, 38 minutes.

Hewitt was also thrashed by Calleri. He was beaten 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2. Calleri faces Juan Monaco next.

Jankovic ultimately won her third round match by taking the next two sets. She said she under-estimated her opponent, Cornet in the first set. She faces Bammer in the round of 16; Bammer thrashed Dementieva 6-1, 6-2.

Ivanovic and Venus will face off in the next round. They both eased into the round of 16 in straight sets. Venus has a 3-0 career record against Ivanovic.

Sharapova's second serve let her down. She also double-faulted 12 times.  Even though she she hit 36 winners compared with her opponent's 18, she made like more than twice unforced errors (48) than her opponent (23).

Roddick is through to the round of 16. He beat Johansson is straight sets (6-3, 6-2, 6-0).

Federer and Isner are playing at the moment.  Isner has hit more aces (48) than anybody in this tournament so far, 30 more than Federer.
