I have always known England to be the most overrated team in the whole world because if a german team without Frings, Ballack, Schweinsteiger, Klose and Podolski can beat England in wembley with John terry, Ferdinand, Beckham, Lampard, Joe Cole, Crouch, and Michael Owen I don't have to say more.
In actual fact England have never surpassed Germany in any touney since 1970 save Euro 2004 I now wonder why all the noise.

Well said poster, they over price their players while they play nothing, with their system i don't see them winning any major tornament in the near future. before they go into any match they will first win the match before the match proper.

They will qualify for 2008 but the bottom line is the present manager might not be the manager come then.English players cost much but play less. The press take them too high and brings them down when the mistake starts to come.

Overall, Germany gave us a football lesson. Apart from the first 20 minutes, England were really outplayed.
Micah Richards did OK - especially at right-back - and Shaun Wright-Phillips did well when he came on at the end. He was the only spark for me.
England just lacked ideas. They were very poor.
Steven Gerrard would have made a difference because he can influence a game. Apart from that, what else can England change? Nothing.
England were too direct and it ended up being easy for Germany.
England have to be able to pass the ball better because if you don't look after the ball at this level, you just don't win games.
But it just seems to be getting worse.

Before the game, we were looking for two things: a good result and a good performance.
Clearly we didn't get the first and I don't think we got the second either. It was average.
The highlight was Micah Richards - if anything he played a lot wider than David Beckham and created more than him, too.
I was impressed by Frank Lampard. He had a point to prove and he did that and could have had more than his one goal. Michael Owen looked OK and should have got a goal, too.
But defensively we were poor - and England weren't up against a particularly good German side, in my opinion.
Robinson's place was under threat before the game and obviously he's in even more danger now.
Unfortunately for him, goalkeepers are not judged on how many saves they make but how many mistakes they make. He made two big errors - the second when he came from a cross and got nowhere near it.

England suffered defeat at the hands of Germany in their last game at the old Wembley and their old rivals made it a notable double in front of a sell-out at the new £800m national stadium.
That is why I can never support anything England.

England believe their own hype thats why they think they're all that, they think they are so ggod they overprice their players, u wonder why english men don't play outside the premiership, its because their average players are stupidly over priced, smart European managers won't pay that sort of money, then the wonder why Arsene Wenger won't buy an English player, imagine Walcott going for £12m at the age of 16 England need to wake up and give themselves a fair judgement else nothing we'll change and we'll still be hearing of 1966 in another 20 yeasr time |

Chelski and United that make use of homegrown talents in a little way are always the title contenders. Liverpool will never smell the title even with over 30 players signed in 3 years
