What distinguishes Ronaldo Lima, Nistelrooy, Henry, Shevchenko (Milan), Raul, Torres and other strikers you call world class.
Is it their hair do? Definitely goals define a striker.
Messi plays to the right of the field for both club and country. Rooney is a central striker in Man Utd since the exit of RVN and the Permanent disability of Saha. In England , ever since Owen got crocked he is the main striker and he plays most of the games. So he has no excuse. 5 goals in 4 years for a Striker

Rooney plays wide or just behind a main striker. . . . . Where was Rooney against Barcelona or Roma??
He was given a wide role so he can cover for either Evra or Wes Brown when opponents are on the attack(something Ronaldo does not DO).
When u understand the dynamics of football. . . . U would shut ur filthy mouth up.
Players like Kanu, Dennis Bergkamp, Messi, Kaka, Rivaldo are not prolific strikers but they are very EFFECTIVE.

Can you tell us who is the central striker for England and man Utd Tevez or Ronaldo.
Ronaldo Lima supported bebeto, Raul has never been a top striker too, Henry plays as a second striker for France. Yet they score.
What is Podolski's position for his National team? How come he scores so much? What was Roberto Baggio?

Comparing to other international stars of similar ages within the same time frame
