I Need Help For My Asus Laptop

please, anyone know where i can get my laptop repaired. eg, the power cable is bad as well as the battery.
the name of the computer is ASUS.

hi,
thanks for the help. was able to fix the power cable and now i have a fresh problem. my command prompt is faulty. each time i open it, the computer automatically restarts.
does anyone seem to know what the problem is?

I don't think its the command prompt that is faulty. There could be several possible cause for this. One that strikes me is a Malware/Trojan that fears the power of the command prompt. Typically, there are some initialization that comes via the registry when you start up the command, I guess this is where the problem lies.

Try this:

1. You will need the Windows Installation CD complete this. Click on Start -> Run and enter "sfc /scannow". Alternatively you could boot from the Windows Installation CD into the Recovery Console. In the recovery console, type in "chkdsk /p". This  should fix the errors.

2. Afterwards, I recommend you get a good antivirus program ans run a thorough scan as a second measure for this.


Let's know if you still get the error of if this works.
