no mind the olodo clowns we have here celebrating Nigeria's recognition of the NTC.

Atleast d west have thier sinister motive for backing the NTC - cheap oil

South Africa and other sane african countries had their interest at heart by NOT recognizing the NTC - Ghadafi invested in the real sector of africa than d west did. with more than 80billion intended for next yr alone

what interest is nigeria pursuing? nothing. the govt just felt like openining its big mouth for nothing sake.

Even though I would be the first to admit that the list looks impressive if they can be verified as being factual, nevertheless the answer to your question is simple:

(a) the notion of President for life; (b) the fact that he deposed a monarchy to gain power, only to be trying to establish his own dynasty - i.e. the intention to hand the regime over, and key leadership positions to his sons.

It feels like going backward and at the same time it feels like the people have got the power,Gaddaffi wasn't that bad, comparatively. He just needed a bit of reforms, sharing power and getting reasonable people involve in continuation of peace and sustainability.

don't know much about libya, but i've got libyan friends, and from the information i got from them, the bolded claims are lies
Re: 16 Facts About Libya? by naijaking1: 4:07pm On Sep 04, 2011
Even if the list is 100% true, what about letting another ruler improve on them? Because Libyans remain unhappy despite living in a "utopia", it means that FREEDOM is more important than silver and gold

What tribe or region of Libya are your friends from? That may the key to the response you got.

An average northerner, if questioned by an unsuspecting foreigner about life in Nigeria in 1997, would readily swear that Abacha was the best thing since sliced bread and that life in Nigeria is heaven on earth grin
