Did any one read this about the Godwin Opara Case?

"THIS IS WHAT I REALLY EXPECTED FROM DOYIN AT THE END OF EVERYTHING, I AM GODWINS BEST FRIEND, I AM KNOW AS EMEKA, I LIVED WITH GODWIN FOR 6 MONTHS IN LIEGE BELGIUM BEFORE I MOVE TO THE USA, EVEN UP TO NOW DOYIN IS STILL HAVING MY INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT WHICH I AM ABOUT TO PRESS CHARGES AGAINST HER FROM HERE IN USA, I TOLD GODWIN THAT THE BEST THING FOR HIM TO DO WAS TO DIVOICE THAT EVIL, OR ELSE SHE WILL DESTROY HIM OR KILL HIM BY POISSING HIS FOOD SINCE SHE IS STILL COOKING FOR US AS OF THAT TIME, BUT MY DEAR FRIEND WOULDN'T LISTEN TO ME, SO THIS IS NOT A SURPRISE TO ME AT ALL, BECAUSE I KNEW IT WILL HAPPEND ONE DAY, ME AND GODWIN DISCOVERED A NATIVE CHARM THAT DOYIN BROUGHT ALL THE WAY FROM NIGERIA TO COOK WITH IT FOR GODWIN INCLUDING THE INSTRUTIONS FROM THE NATIVE MAN, BUT MY FRIEND WAS BLIND FOLDED, SO HE STILL REMAIN WITH THIS WOMAN, GODWIN WAS NOT THE ONLY PERSON THAT HAS SEX WITH THAT GILR, DOYINS SENIOR BROTHER WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO HAVE SEX WITH THE GIRL WHICH ME, GODWIN, DOYIN AND THAT WINCH OLD ANT IS ALSO AWHERE OF, ANYWAY I BELIEVE MY FRIEND GODWIN WILL LEARN A LESSON FROM THIS ISSUE.
I WILL KEEP HIM IN PRAYERS SO THAT THE ALMIGHTY GOD WILL SET HIM FREE FROM THIS TEMTATION BECAUSE HE IS INNOCENT OF ALL THIS ACCUSATION, HE JUST A VICTIM OF CIRCUMSTANCES.
I WILL ALWAYS REMAIN YOUR FRIEND AND BROTHER.
EMEKA"

Menn,

old school full for nairaland o. See as people just dey produce names of footballers wey don retire before them born me!!!

Anyways, I thought this thread is supposed top refer to guys that are supposed to be playing now but are lost in some unknown places?

With that in mind, I wonder where Ibrahim Babangida is? The guy is a brother to Tijani and Haruna and he played with Kanu, Oruma et al at Japan 93.

bolaOni and Teeroy,  I want to pray for you guys but am still working out which language would be best. Thanks for this thread.

@davidylan, BEN IROHA did not retire after USA 94 but continued to play in the MLS. he then made a move to the UK in the early 2000's as a defender claiming he was 28 years old. I WAS MAD. As God would have it, he sustained an injury in training that refused to heal after a lenghty period. This got WATFORD FC alarmed and he was subsequently released from his contract. These guys ought to be ashamed of some the lies they tell.

What Arsene Wenger is doing now with "awon ewe" -Youths, the Late Abdullahi Bebe did with stationary stores when we won the league in 92/93. With kids like Hakeem Ogunlade. I met Finidi George in Kano in 1992 after he had scored the lone goal that saw off Kano Pillars. He said to me that Stationary Stores were unstoppable that year becuase they were strong and not afraid of big names-how true.

What about wakilu Oyenuga-the only man with the copyright to score headers only.
Yisa Sofoluwe, Chibuzor Ehilegbu, Ali Jeje?

What about one of the first Nigerians to leave our local club straight for the English League? Dominic Iorfa-100 metres champion who would make Monsieur Thierry henry look like a kid when sprinting?

The list is endless but as a DIE HARD STATIONARY STORES SUPPORTER ( so you didn't know that educated people support stores?)-UP SUPER! I must mention our estwhile captain Yisa Alabi who would not touch the ball after kick off until he has shaken his white handkerchief in the air and tied it around his neck.

Of Collins Ebetimi aka Roberto Barbwire-the strong man of Stationary Stores. Sad he's collecting agbero money now at Lawanson bus stop.

TO BOLAONI AND TEEROY  and all Nigerian Football fans Who said and to who did he say?

" Give me, Eboigbe and Omokaro the Eagles defence. And we shall make it a NO GO AREA."
Collins Ebetimi. Asking Coach Westerhoff to take him to the nations Cup

Penalty and red card for plenty.

God Bless u guys

Me na the time of Barb Wire, Adeshina Shobayo, Ike Anobi me I sabi o (1990 era)

My memory won't be complete if I don't remember the Bebe Killer Squad. To me o,
they are the BEST squad.  Cool I can run the full sqaud here. Starting from Ike Anobi being
backed by Lere Akinde and Victor Gbinebiche or something. It is just pure FUN watching

Re: Forgotten Players In Nigerian Soccer

Oladimeji Lawal was the hot right winger who played with Phillip Osondu in the Fifa Under-17 Championship in Canada 1987. Chris Ohenhen was the freekick specialist who played in the 1989 Fifa You-21 Champinship. Think he scored about 4 freekicks.
BTW so nobody on this forum can help me with the Eagles 1988 Nations cup squad. When did y'all start watching football? 1994 world cup?

@lafile,

I wanted to reply you yesterday, but it skipped my memory.

Friday Elahor, to the best of my knowledge, wasn't part of the
team to Maroc. Folorunsho Okenla was the guy on the left wing.

Henry Nwosu wasn't a striker as well, he is an Attacking Midfielder.

The Main striker Was Rashidi Yekini.

To complete the line up is Nduibusi Okosieme and Sam Okwaraji, who
comes in as Subs in most of the matches. Not sure who partnered
Yekini in that competition.

The VERY oldeis in the house can help out.

@BOLAONI, God Bless you. Again what did i say? GOD BLESS YOU. For me there is only one club- FLAMING-Iyo ni O. Pokulowo e, Albarka loju.

The best team manager- baba Joo.

I am awaiting when Mike adenuga will know that he has to have a club in the league just like MKO did to really maximise all the money he is pouring into sponsorship. I wish he will just buy the name stationary stores and brand them Glo Boys, but then stores is not used to big money.

BOLA abeg run that team by me again. I have my popsie's 1967 single by King Sunny Ade dedicated to FLAMING FLAMENGOES winning the Challenge Cup. I wan put am for CD.

Its is our poku lowo e that Arsene Wenger studied-----ask him and he will confess he was a follower of STATIONARY STORES and saw our success.

I will not rest until i bring my 3 yr old to Lagos and show him old UAC stadium and Onikan.
I was born at Maye street , yaba but grew on Tejuosho street and was made to understand that in our family, we only support SUPER, so my son must understand . No time for Crystal Palace in my House.
