K Gotcha. what I don't know now is if you absoultely require a built-in web cam. 130k can certainly fetch you a decent laptop and  a none-built-in webcam.

what are the advantages and the disadvanges of a laptop that doesnt have a buil-in webcam?

how much is a webcam if eventually i decide to buy a laptop without one.

The only obvious disadvantage of having a built-in webcam is that you have to position yourself (or the target objects) relative to the direction(or line of sight) of the webcam. So if you are careful to buy a laptop with a good built-in webcam having a reasonably good resolution that you will be happy with for a good length of time, then you should be all good I guess.

On the contrary, an external webcam can be pointed in any direction you require (without having to physically orient the laptop itself) to capture the target images. As well if  at any point in time you are dissatisfied with the performance of the external webcam you can replace it in a heartbeat with one that meets your precise specifications. (Note that you can also disable an internal webcam and use an external one that catches your fancy but in this case you can not re-assign the built-in webcam to an alternate machine).

Perhaps, the only disadvantage of an external webcam is that you have to remember to carry it everywhere along with your laptop. Unless you are very meticulous, you will likely forget it every once in a while.

There in a nutshell are the Pros and Cons of Built-in vs non-built in web cams - in my humble opinion of course.

Out here you can get a webcam for as low as $20.

In nigeria you can perhaps get a suitable external web cam  anywhere from 1200 naira naira upwards depending on the model and resolution.
