Do we have an affordable (if you know what I mean ) second-hand book store in Lagos? Or better still, any lending libraries? Books that I'm looking for are mainly fiction, say Sidney Sheldon, Agatha Christie et al. Also, does anybody know about this American Library in VI?

there are two libraries in ikoyi. They are both near each other just walking distant. The first one is in the UK office near the bus stop in ikoyi. The second one is about half mile of intersection point of the two libraries. I don't know their nams but onne u get to ikoyi, all u need is to ask and they will direct u!

The British Council library is on Thompson Avenue in Ikoyi, behind the MTN switch but they have only English and colonial authors. The USIS library is directly behind NECOM house on Lagos. They have only American authors. Used books - try bookstores opposite Tejuosho Market or under the bridge at CMS and environs. New books you can get at Glendora in Falomo Shopping Center, Ikoyi. Books r Us in Golden Plaza, Ikoyi, Bookworm at Eko Hotel Shopping Mall, and Nu Metro, The Galleria on Ahmadu Bello Way. There are also bookstores in Eko Hotel itself and Ikoyi Hotel as well. The airport is also a good source of books. There used to be a book club somewhere on Okah-Avae Road, off Finbarrs Road in Akoka and one in Palmgrove, can't remember where,

I have over 500 books in my library. Maybe I should consider opening a book club. Am just thinking. Anyways if you want to buy books go to nu metro. Theyb are reasonbly cheap there. But if you want to buy 2nd hand books,. Under the bridge Ikeja is the place. After cash and carry and triangles. Sidney Sheldon, Danielle steel, Jackie Collins, Jeffery Archer, Tom Clancy and all the best sellers go for N350. While the smaller ones M&B,, silhouette, harlequin go for N100. Then the big romance like all those Zebra books go for N150. I see them on Saturdays. But they may be there week days too. Hope this is useful
