To think that you have nothing serious to do with your time,Why don't you start the association all by yourself.

By the way how many have you personally hacked ? I'm sure you certainly have never hacked any.

@evergie, without mincing words, and acknowledging that you are fully entitled to your choice of career and opinion, I really think you should be ashamed of yourself for starting such a thread here (or anywhere else, for that matter). How could you? So many Nigerians are trying desperately to repair the thrashed credibility of Nigeria (and Nigerians) the world over, and you think the best thing to do is set up a 'Naughty Boys' club?? How dare you??  What has gotten hold of your mind? Is that all the ambition you have - to destroy?

And @stepestus - if you think your cause is 'worthy' why not post the url to your so-called 'website to that effect'? You think it is a classy thing to be known as a 'naughty boy'??

You guys better stop right there in your tracks, think of some better and more productive way to use your talents (such as you may have), and grow up. I suggest starting with improving your command of the written form of the English language.

The thing is, I really do not understand why this thread is still here. I have seen and read about less inciting and unambitious posts being deleted here on Nairaland.

@ Xanadu,

Its clear you only fail to understand the hacking. Have you in your widest imagination come across a word like penetration testing? Its because of our lack our of knowledge in hacking that banks and other big companys hire indians for their network protection. while have people like who claim know it all in areas of IT and online security.

Please consult people. there are good Naughty Boys as well as we have bad Naughty Boys.

Yes there certainly are, dear evergie - but note the title you have chosen for this thread:

Nigerian Naughty Boys

So judging from such a title, which one are you?

And if you say you are an ethical hacker, or a penetration tester, why not form an 'Association of Penetration Testers'? Which is more noble and honourable? I will not be drawn into a prolonged rally of retorts - in my earlier post, I acknowledged your right to your opinion. I have the same right as well, and have exercised it. 'Nuff said.

Suen ivolved - Change of Thread  Huh, Did you?

Well, Hacking is never a good business to lay back on, xanadu tells you everything. You are just spoiling our reputation.

You think of Hacking like some Indians, but why not think of Technology like the Chinese?  Cry - Take your time, develope something good. Lets move forward!  Wink

Nigeria is back behind, you still doesnt want to do anything to take it forward,  Too BAD! - I always want to do something for the benifit of Nigerians and the developement of Nigeria!

Nigeria is great - (Urdu - Mere homeland He)

@rufaai

    You can not talk about technology without talking about internet and you can not talk about internet without the security. What is internet security without penetrartion testing or ethical hacking. The indians that are well know for hacking, do they have bad name as Nigeria? Please blame something else for Nigeria's bad name.

@smartsoft

 Why not ignore a thread you have nothing meanful to contribute? You still leave in your yesterdays. Its you and your colony that do more of spoiling our image.

the reason why many people remain where they are is because they know nothing. once someone know something more he'D  move a litl bit higher.

@xanadu
now for a policeman to prevent shooting, he must learn how to shoot. Nigeria has quite a bad impression outside quite all rite, the reason why those who hack credit cards do it and run away is because we know nothing about it. all this is about is a security awareness. over there everybody know what hacking is, so its no longer an event, why an american man may not hack into another man's account is that the other man knows exactly what he'D do. but here in nigeria <15% are computer literate, and <2% are security concious. thats a shame and its our fault. Understand?

Knowledge is power, what you do with the power is a whole different situation entirely.

A friend's friend of my actually does his Phd in Hacking, gets paid a lot and the company also pays for his course. guess every company, especially network and software developer need members of staff with hacking knowledge.

I don't know if because the poster is a Nigerian that you all see hacking as a big deal and the conclusion by most is that its giving we nigerians a bad image.

When SAP hacked ORACLE earlier this year, no body seems to say much, but when a nigerian says lets start a hacking team its a big deal.

If the poster is starting ethical hacking count me in, as the skills and knowledge gained from this would probably make me a better system developer.

The Linux Os and tons of other free softwares you use are products of hacking, its a shame that the word hacking has been seriously abused. You say that he doesn't have anyhting better doing with his time, thats true, those that write those free programms are socially dead, its them and their shell. Hours after hours they sit on their chair going through lines and lines codes until their eyes wear out in tears.
Naughty Boys aren't those that steal passwords and committ fraud those are crackers cheap skates that abuse the knowledge they were given. The knowledge gained through Hack isn't only used in the computer world, but used even in mechanical, medical rescue etc.
I believ you guys should read this http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/hacker-howto.html

Remember Naughty Boys build things crackers destroy

well Albert Einstein said "Superior mind get the greatest oppposition from mediocre minds" thats exactly what is being experienced here. All those who are interested should go on with the plan and leave the others alone. That one doesn't know how to do something shouldn't make him prevent others from doin' what they should. Please lets go on with our stuff and leave temporory setbacks alone.
