You did project management in school and you have no idea as to what part you want to follow. So pretty much your project management days in college was wasted I guess if you cannot find something decent in pm while looking at other options.

IT is a very wide field as somebody suggested. I don't know much about DBA. I saw some interesting threads: Database Administrator on Nairaland. Read that. It will give you great insight on that. From what I read and what I know, it seems u are better off being a programmer. At least, there will be more demand for a programmer than a DBA. Now, here is what u said Sorry, i didn't tell u. i already knew Qbasic and VB 6.0, MS word and excel. I will not lie. that is all i knew about computer and IT.
U know next to nothing. Don't ever tell anybody that u know Qbasic. They will laugh at you. No employer will ask u for your knowledge of Word or Excel. That is assumed unless you are saying u know how to program MS-Word and MS-Excel. If u know VB6, continue on to VB.net and C#.net. Also try and learn how to develop website. Sites are becoming very popular. Even on your own, you can earn decent living developing websites. Read some threads in Webdeveloper to have a feel of what I am talking about. Cheer and best of luck
