Yeah, great stuff indeed. Utterly remarkable flash sites (for a Nigerian, that is).
Your Eedris project is a jaw-dropper any day, any where. Even when placed on par with the portfolio of 2Advanced, WideGroup, FullCreations, or even PixelRanger's work.
But one thing I've got to say is, create HTML versions of your works. Give users the options of quickly viewing content without waiting for the loading of flash movies. Some of 'em take a while in loading and users with a slow connections wouldn't appreciate such waitings. IMO, that is.

Great stuff man, I am feeling the first two, I can appreciate the work you put it, I can tell you spent some long ass time getting it to look sharp, the last 3 are medioca though, but then again its becuase the first two are just tight,

Hey, i want 2 thank u boys 4 appreciating my works. I hav some couple of stuffs coming in soon including 2face Idibia's website.
I'll keep u boys posted when its out. As for those of u that wants some training in flash, no prob but u boys will hav to give me 2months to clear up some stuffs like my exams and other jobs i hav at hand right now.
Am a student in unilag studyin creative arts. so its not just all about work alone i also school full time.
But nobody has posted any of his/her flash jobs yet. Am still waiting for that because we need to know ourselves or boys don't u feel me!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers.

 impressive portfolio, I work along this lines too but for corporate clients ( http://gravityalpha.com - my latest site), will post up some more links soon (difficult keeping tabs) plus I am moving slowly over to 3D full time so web design in my life is being sidelined a bit. Yeah, I agree with the guy who recommended html alternatives, that got me off flash designs for a while and saw me doing more Actionscript programming than designing,

We should have a 3D modellers thread in the computer section don't u think - so we can display WIPs and Completed stills/anims, |

Guys, there's nothing like editing a template in flash. Flash is a build-from-the-scratch application. There are no templates neither are there animations for edit. You create everything yourself, from the graphics to the animation etc. For some of you that don't know what the application looks like and hav not worked on it before, go get one to see for yourself and stop interpreting it for MICROSOFT POWERPOINT.
I learnt flash myself, nobody thought me. If u are creative, u will do wonders with it. 1

Every design someone comes up with takes ideas from someone else or from somewhere else [even if it's dream]. There's a quote we web designers have: "Imitation is the best form of flattery." So if you see some ideas from your site replicated somewhere, be happy -- that means your work is so good the guy had no other choice than to lift it -- you shouldn't be happy however, if the person lifted it design for design [that's a complete lack of creativity]. Tommy, you're the man -- but do try to create HTML versions of your site. Ka ji kwo? |

Naija Flash Freak Present, signing in. Good ups on this thread. like prodgalson i have been in the states for quite sometime as well. I concur on must of what he has written and can't really say different as he has/is on the front lines. A little bout me, aside from doing standard webstuff back in 97-98 using lots of freebased webhosts, ripping graphics and gangin code i didn't understand to learn with limited resources. I generated decent projected pages, which gave me a greater interest. and now I have ascented into that Creative Digital Pimp with some solid years under my belt. I dabbled with flash 3 but got into the driving seat of version 4 and have been keepin it stiff since then. I am more of a designer or what you would can call your own naija "Leonardo da Vinci! Renaissance designer" and at its best. doing both design and development on loads of mediums. I do RIAs, Dev, Print, Broadcast etc. there is so much to write. but i sure with time i will get quicky typy sharing lots of what i have seen and know for the interested. like every artist protective and hush hush on pet projects.
