let us pray that the big boys are not involved in the game otherwise nothing will come out of it.
like the case of atiku, obj was involved and till today nigerians are no longer interested is asking what is going on with atiku.
by the way, is efcc no longer in the case of atiku?
has efcc finally find atiku innocent or has the war on corruption come to an end with atiku?
we can't stop foooling ourselves.
what on earth can make a no 2 citizen of a country confess to a fraud and nothing has happened to him while an organisation is shouting on how active they are and their readiness to wipe corruption.
the emergence of efcc has reduced the popularity of the nigerian movie industry (nollywood).
i am still looking at a situation where efcc will add this matter to that of NPA(bode george), adenuga's issue, atiku's matter, andy uba's case and a host of others to enable them concentrate on Orji Uzo Kalu, nigeria's main problem.

chidi you really need to stop with these wild allegations of yours

where did Atiku confess to fraud? He said money was placed in the bank, possibly not the best use and that all the funds have been returned to government, where is the fraud in that? Procedural/Administrative errors maybe, but fraud? Be very careful in your characterizations my friend

The 'organization' have no solid evidence of corruption to go after Atiku, if not they would have done so by now, you cannot simply expect them to lock him up or something because some people like Obj and others don't like him.

Many of these 'issues' and 'matters' you are referring to are wholly in the realm of conjecture, if I come out tomorrow and claim chidichris stole 2million naira, then I'm sure you will be expecting the EFCC to come arrest you immediately too.

Especially at this time when the rule of law is being championed, it will be very difficult for the EFCC or anyone else to move against any individuals based on sentiment or personal hatred, if hard evidence is not available, then forget about it.

@debosky,

The way wild allegations are being thrown around here is alarming and unfortunately those behind such allegations believe deep down in their hearts that they know exactly how things work.

If there is no ulterior motive behind this type of allegations then only God knows why they are usually made in the first place and before you know it questions, analysis and comments are based on this wild allegations as if they were facts (or anything close to facts).

That woman is not only a thief, she should be charged along with Lamidi Adedibu with obstruction of justice and complicity in the sacrificial murder of one of their own: Representative/Thug Segun Oladimeji in order to divert attention from the matter at hand.

This is very true. All Nigerians, must ensure that this woman does not survive this.

This should be the Nigerian peoples first major action against corruption and our first warning to those that want to corrupt public office.

You can imagine that this woman must have borrowed a N500 million loan to celebrate her birthday in the USA.

I was looking at this a an error on her part, some kind of mistake, but no, this woman must relinquish that position, leave the House of Representatives entirely, and finally be tried and face possible jailterm.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives must also be probed. How could he have vandalised that Government Residential facility to the extent that it will require hundreds of millions to Renovate?

THINGS MUST CHANGE.

THINGS MUST CHANGE.

When did she take a loan of 500 million naira to hold a birthday party in the US? And where exactly in the US, did the party take place? How much was spent on venue hire, decorations, catering, gifts etc.? All these things are easy to check in the States.

As for the amount quoted for renovation of her official quarters, has it been approved, disbursed, allocated or expended?

Was there a need to tear down the old structure and build a new one to replace it?

Will the 'new' house be built with marble, or coated with diamonds and platinum? Because to my mind, that is the only reason why such a huge amount can be voted as renovation costs for an ordinary house. Even at that, all those millions of naira is still way TOO much for the construction of an ordinary house, talk less of renovating one. Or are we  talking about renovating a ten-storey multi-purpose hotel plaza, and not a two-storey building used by the Speaker? Don't forget, the Deputy Speaker's house was also to be renovated. So both of them should be probed. I guess the Deputy Speaker will hold his own birthday bash in Switzerland. Who knows?

What baffles me most sha, is that of all the erudite, sensible ladies in the House of Reps. that hail from the South-West (like Abike Dabiri, Gbemi Saraki etc.) you mean this kind of woman was the only one that could be picked to preside over the entire House? Chei! Shocked

I think the Speaker's Residence is only 2 storeys from the outside. It may actually be 10 storeys underground, and perhaps, the underground lift is bad too. That would cost approximately N50 million.

Bello Masari must be a Vandal. In fact, he must be king of the Vandal for him to use a Residential Facility to the extent that it would cost hundreds of millions to renovate after just a few years of use.

Is there an Olympic size pool within the Residence too? They might need to change it. Perhaps it has gotten very old too after massive use by Masari.

Maybe Beijing 2008 is going to kick off from the Mrs. Etteh's compound thats why it required alot of millions to renovate.May God punish them all.Etteh is a real thief and to that Baba Owala(tribal mark) Adedibu he is a useless man with a useless mouth for talking rubbish. I hope we can invite all these Nigeria leaders into a room and bomb them all.

I like this. The senate is becoming like the Roman senate of old. One of these days somebody will bring a knife and stab another Senator.

Interesting development. I wonder why the citizens Senatorial Districts whose senators engaged in the fracas cannot re-call their Senators and replace them on the ground of dishonourable conduct.

With the way things are going, I won't be suprised if Governor Fashola and Gbenga Daniel re-enact the Tyson/Lewis match.

Then maybe one day, when Yar'Adua goes to a world gathering and he doesn't like what George Bush said about Nigeria, he'll just roll up his agbada and begin a match of "dambe".

Show of SHAME.
If that woman is actually as Honourable as her fans claim, them i expect her to just bow out.
But trust Nigerians, they have their selfish aims and so will never leave such juicy positions without giving a fight.

With fact emerging everyday, even my baby neighbour knows she didnt take due process to award the contract and so this alone makes her guilty.

if her residence was renovated some years back with just a little over N5m, what can be there to renovate with N50m and not even talking of N628m.
Yes cars were to be bought, but isnt that wasteful.
Women are known to be prudent, not this hairdresser.
You will know she is coming from roots that depict poverty and they fear of being poor is what is driving her this crazy.

People of Osun state are just mute on this matter, its not even ok.
She deserves to be recalled and even jailed for denting the image of the National Assembly.
Shameless woman
