I think Aje Butter is the same as ajeboda which is sort of like spoiled but more negative for some.

"I don't live in comfort and I go through stress like everybody else in the whole world

If you are living anything like me it is definitely not in the lap of luxury. I think what people don't understand is that, comparatively speaking, you have to have alot more money to be aje butter in America. So people think you are living like the stereotypical 90210 lifestyle but in reality you might be living worse here than you did there. It's all relative. Explain that to them next time someone calls you aje butter.

Your parents probably call you Aje butter, because of the way you handle house chores and your interactions with people. You are either aje butter, aje Kpako, or average(kpakorised aje butter). The irony to it is that if one is called an aje kpako, he or she would also act the same way you acted, this is because the word is kind of derogatory.

Different people understand these terms in different ways. Some people believe that Aje butters' are normally children of rich parents that have every amenity they want at the simple snap of a finger, Some think they are those that were over pampered and don't do anything in their homes. So now from these simple explanations you are left to chose wer you belong, the aje butters', the aje kpako's or kpakorised aje butter.

I went to millitary school, that stops people from calling me aje-butter. I probably done shittier things just like  ajegunle guys, what makes me mad is when people expect me to pay for their suya (everytime I come to Naija)

@omogenaija, if you are not ajebutter, are you an ajekpako or ajelafun then Grin

You look more like an ajeburger Cheesy

Lets see you face now,you seem to be hiding from us.

But seriously, its a passing thing as almost everyone gets taunted during their teen years for one thing or the other, but if you can be the best you can either in school or sports or in just anything you are good at,your peers will surely respect you. Cool

Hey! Ajebutter- howeva they call it, isn't a derrogatory term as u c it Tongue, many just say it most times probably d way they c u act/ relate and all, so long they don't call u 'didirin'- then ure on a safe side. Many kids would probably want to bear such Wink. Although, i don't agree aswell that people call u that out of jealousy, its for fun most times xcept they are just being sarcastic Tongue, its nothing to worry about Grin.

Next time they call u that just smile and say; it's not my fault '' Oluwa lo n'sola'' Grin Grin Grin

if you've heard it more than a couple times, then you ought to consult with yourself to see what you might be doing that causes people to call you that.
if it talks, thinks, smells, looks, and acts like a fowl, people will call it a fowl.

By spelling it aje butter, you just proved how ajebota you really are. LOL.  You omo Yankee get so defensive when someone calls you this term. I don't get it. What's wrong with it. You think sufferhead automatically makes you cooler. Me that I've been living in Yankee seven years now, I have small ajebota in me. No sweat.
