@olofofo

Someone mailed me requesting for the zain'ab's fbt, I thought it was you. I've already replied but if you don't get it, just send a text to 232 request for mms.wap or internet settings.

Send the message in this format below
er
wap Nokia N73
     or
mms Nokia N73

message shuld be sent to 232 and when you are replied save the config message with either 0 or 0000.

then you have to do some settings on your PC for it to work, like setting up a network etc. also you have to configure you modem from the phone and modem option. for better understanding of how to set up you modem visit the Phone forum and check the thread with the related title.

I'm still learning more about FTA and trying to understand it better before deciding on the Dish to get

@all

all the live maatches available today: Is the any showing on 1.8m motorized dish and all this open channels/keys: are they also available on the 1.8m dish?

thanks

@ all,
this period is the best  time to check out for feeds because world cup qualifiers is on in most european countries.
Though i don't have any feeds on my 3 ku setups now, but those on c-band should give it a try, am presently watching France and Romania match at the moment on TV5 monde afrique on NSS7 ku and also TV Malagasy on W3A joined TV 5 in airing that match also.
So lets all start the feeds hunting right away.

@enitan

i have tried activation through the link you gave but, they keep telling me that i have been activated for MMS, they have not sent me the sms containing the settings.

regarding my dish. i dismantled it and straighten out some edges and coupled it back, and then i bought a LNB that is supposed to be very good.(SANTECH), when i tracked NSS 7 ku with the improved dish, i got 96-97% like we re looking for that day but i have be unable to get Nilesat.

meanwhile, a friend of many got 2.4 dish which Badaru was scheduled to install on sunday, but we missed out on carrying the dish today because of the restriction on movement. I have begged Oga badaru to come back to my place so that we can work on the nilesat together again. I will be at his house for 8am. Next week, we will be doing my friend's own.

Re: Free-To-Air Satellite TV
« #2653 on: October 11, 2008, 09:45 PM »

@ olofofo,
u don't have to wait for any sms, the question is do your have a GPRS signal on your phone?
Then if u do, then just install yur phone PC suite on yur lappie, and create a dial-up connection on yur system using yur phone as a modem, then input this setting inside your connection in the PC suite on the Pc
APN: mms.ng.zain.com
IP: 172.018.254.005
PORT: 8080

then after this try to initiate a connection after it must have been connected, launch any of thos applications i gave you and make sure u also entered the same config above inside any of the application u will be using, then connect that application also.
If it successfully connect, a webpage will just appear from nowhere like a search web page, it is now from this you'll be typing the webpages u want to visit.

@ justx24,
whats happening at yur end na? It's quite an age we've heard from you on the forum.
Hope yur connection is still intact?
