In fact, let me address this issue of polygamy before going to bed next to IBB Wink

Yes, I'm against polygamy! Even though it was introduced by our forefathers however they had genuine reasons for doing so then and that reason does not exist today in most families. Our fathers are brave. Back then, they were lots of diseases and children die at a very young age and rapid rate. For instance, a man with one wife and five kids might end up with one or none as a result of sickness that they don't know how to cure then. Besides they have huge plots of land and they need people to sow and harvest in order to sustain hunger etc. Most of these reasons doesn't exist today. These days people marry for comfort and pleasure. When they have uncontrolling desires, they just go and get it like it's no man's business. Can a woman do the same with man? I wonder!
The fact is that we have very strong morals in Nigeria but those with many wives are excluded. Therefore for those that doesn't contribute to the good image of the country, we will strengthen the divorce law. It will include equal sharing of properties and so forth. This I believe will discourage polygamy while empowering the rights of a lady to strongly oppose what she despise.
Good night! Cool

@missworld

Curiously your husband didn't do much for education the last time he was at the helm, instead he retarded whatever progress was on the ground before he came to power . Remember the time he wanted to close Nigerian universities for one year? so why would he do anyting good now?

I do like your opinion on polygamy though. I despise the tradition myself but still we say no no no to Babangida. sorry.   Tongue

How many professionals do you have? How more professional do you want them to be? Isn't OBJ professional? Gosh! And Odeku, instead of assuming that my husband is white, why don't you ask whether I'm married and if so, white or black? You are a very intellectual being bro!  Wink

Missworld, I can tell by the tone in your voice you don't  associate with Nigerians in the state, there must be shortage of Nigerians where ever you are in the state, I will personally like to extend an open invitation to you and your husband all expense paid to come to CHI town in July.  We hold the annual Nigerians Chi town association I guaranty you will be amazed at the tremendous amount of doctore, nurses, lawyers and accountants we have in this city.  a word is enough for the wise, come and be my guest at this occasion, holla back at me via email maybe i can change your mind about Nigerian mens.  I personally I've been in the state for over 15 years, and I am a citizen, but like I always say, Nigeria is my home and I am a Nigerian for life.  So many people come to the state with the hope of bettering their self, but they are so rapped up in the American designed. people like you miss world are the ones that makes America a great nation, cause all we do is work pay check to pay check to meet our standard of living.

Odeku, I'm a proud Nigerian and where I lived, there are lots, I mean countless Nigerians. In fact I'm just coming back from church and it's a Nigerian mass filled with 99% Nigerians and in our native tongue. We have thousands of Nigerians here that they throw more than one party each weekend and I'm tired of attending them. Did I forget to mention that I'm a prominent choir member?
Thanks for your offer but I have other place to visit. Hopefully that will be a nice break from Nigerian people. Wink

delekan  will you please define a genius? and what qualities does IBB have to make him one, beside borrowing and making Nigerian people slave today, it was during IBB regime that we have graduates driving cabs and luxurious buses. it was during IBB regime that we have IMF loans and it was during IBB regime that we have open embezzlement, so please define genius for me. @Odeku, a genius is one with great intelligence like IBB. He's a genius because of his "eat and let eat" policy. I'm glad that u mentioned that graduates were driving cabs and luxurious buses during his regime. Do u know what's happening now? Grads don't have jobs anymore. As a friend was telling me, they wear nice suite that they spend their life on just trying to impress managers however, even before they get there, the big sign on the door says "Not Hiring" or "No vacancy" and many more and they have to walk back home depressed. In OBJ's regime, Grads use their knowledge for 419. Not to say that 419 didn't exist before however my point is that our national 419 has turned into huge international business in OBJ's regime.
