Nations Cup Qualifier: Nigeria Vs. Lesotho
« on: September 08, 2007, 04:28 PM »

Is anyone watching the match? It's a full house, except for the absence of Martins and Yobo.

It's the last match of the qualifiers. Nigeria is leading by a goal at the moment.

I don't know why the ref would have allowed them to play on that water-logged pitch. Uche Ikechukwu missed a goal, no thanks to the state of the pitch; the ball stopped on the goal-line.

Mikel has also missed a penalty. Of course, you all can guess who was brought down in the box.

the march was played not just on a water-logged pitch but on in a shallow river.

the water was so much that the ball wasn't even bouncing, and ikechukwu's shot which would've just rolled into an empty net got stuck in a pool of water just before the line

the water was so much that the players has to raise the ball up before playing ( as if it were beach football)

the referee could not give give Kanu a red card, not even a yellow card after giving one of the opponents 2 heavy knocks on the head (Zeezoo) was giving a red card for headbutting, y not Kanu for apparently giving his opponent 2 heavy knocks on the head like he was beating a 4 yr old kid)

y wasn't Anichabe fielded even if it's for few minutes while the young kid is just waiting to be capped while England is begging him to join their u-21 (don't forget Agbologho has joined) for Christ sake, cap this young kid who wants to play for his nation, he was among the first to report to camp.

then finally, can some 1 tell me y CAF will not cancel this beach river football

I didn't watch the match, i've been online all day.
This is terrible.
Why would Kanu do such a thing, he's a professional player and should know better.
And why should they play a game on sea instead of land?
