Help: Connecting A Camcorder To A Computer

Please i need help on how to connect my jvc camcorder to my pc for video editing. i already have a video editing software installed (ulead 10) but each time i try to connect the camcorder to the computer, i get a message which reads " usb device not recognised"
I would really appreciate any form of help from you guys

You have to install driver that supports the cam. You can get that instal from disc that came with your cam.
