Someone actually said that to me, we were not in a relationship sha but my sisters were trying to matchmake us. Thank God he said it in their presence. I was actually begining to like the guy and consider the idea till that day, one of my sisters tryingto impress the guy starting telling him about some projects I had written and we were doing, then he made that statement in the presence of all of them, (He was making that statement in the presence of a Doctor, Lawyer, Media Exec and P.R Guru) there was a stunned silence for almost  2 minutes till my Brother in-law broke the ice by asking the guy if the school was private or public Primary School.
The Guy has not been heard from since then

fayose knows what he's doing. he is a real naija politician. when he was underground, i was opportuned to see him somewhere in Maitama (a 3 star hotel where he was hibernating throughout that period) and he told us he's coming back as Ekiti Gov. in 2011

guys, the Blood group thing , tho it may be used as an excuse is a REAL DILEMMA.
As a parent it would break ur heart each and everytime your kids have a crisis, which i hear can also include skeletal ache which has been described as having a car parked on your body for hours .
The average life expectancy of an SS sufferer is 30 years, I'm sorry but i'D like my kids to live longer than 30 years
I have already lost 3 friends to this disease before the age of 30. I'm 35 now.
Before i start any relationship i find out the girls blood group, as i am AS and not compatible with SS or AS . I stand a 1 in 4 chance of getting a child with AS  if i marry an AS babe, or a 3 in 4 with SS.
I urge you to do the necessary checks , and don't leave it too late. Do this in your toasting stage.

But what do you folks think about breaking up a long standing relationship of about two years due to genotype incompactibility? But I really love her. I have never loved anyone that way.
Help me ooooo

you love her no doubt but you will also love the children you will have with her and at least, one of those children will have to suffer for life because of defective genomes. you will be there blaming yourself everytime you see the child crying out in pain because you know you should have prevented it.

my advise, if you really love her, let her marry someone with a genotype that can eradicate the problem and do the same yourself. you will both be better for it

all da best
