I think Opral Benson has one in Lagos.

Also, try working as an intern with Momo's or Deola Sagoe. Nothnig beats on-the-job training.

Nikky Africana too is good. But don't go to institute that u will only be taught theories and at d end u may not be able to know how to cut&sew a single bib for baby not to talk of creative styles.
Another simple test is when u see someone that puts on good sewn clothes in native english name it ask for his/her tailor. Then go and liase with the tailor to start  a class . From there u can get the basic rudiment of sewing after which u can visit all these models for colour combination or modern ethics in fashion.

i disagree with u that u can be a fashion designer in 3mths.to  draft or contruct a bodice on free hand requires understanding the anatomy and this cannot be fully understood until a student is exposed to different clients on a regular basis.I agree that u can start sewing what ever in few days as a starter. But professionally, this requires exposure and seasoning. Abeg 3mths too small.

i have some students that i teach dressmaking and amongst the eight students who came in as freshers;there are 2 particulars ladies who have never sewn with a needle before talkless of using a sewing machine; they enroled for 3months course, although we have 6months duration and one year respectively. It was amazing to notice that these two girls were catchingup so fast and within a month they;ve started collecting clothes from customers in their neighbourhood to sew and am always there to give 1 or 2 directions but so far they have performed extremely well at that level. they have finished the 3months course and they are working and earning a goodliving with it.
There are some that will take up to one year and they are still fiddling with fittings. Every individual have their own pace, thats why we have 3months course, 6months& 1year; and definitely with continous practise one becomes perfect and more orelse a professional. Its all about focus, willingness to learn, patience and determination.

We are not a road-side fashion shop, waiting to train just anyone who wants to cut & sew. we are professionals who are willing to go the extra mile to challenge their creativity and passion and at same time guiding them with the universal basic rules in fashion designing but with a touch of our own african style. the trainees will complete their training not only as tailors but also designers with good artistic creativity and ideas that we are building up and will grow as the years go by when they are finally on their own.
You all welcome during working hours and best of luck to you too. Thanks.
