@Anyhow: I would venture that the so-called ill-will is not a literal hope for sickness. It seems to me that it's a none-too-subtle reminder of the responsibilities one must accept when one engages in sexual activity. And, in all fairness, these responsibilities cannot be understated.
ONE careless sexual encounter can, after all, can dramatically change one's life (it potentially could also end one's life, but that goes without saying). I think it's just a personal admonishment to ALWAYS be careful.
Of course, there are also those whose religious sensibilities are compromised by behaviors which are contrary to their beliefs. Often, such persons assume (wrongly) that all people should be held to their same "standards" of action. Those who do not choose to do so are taken to be intentionally seeking the wrath of all that their faiths do not encompass.
Bottom line: Sex is a very personal thing. It is between you and your partner. Thus, the parties involved must, without fail, be careful and responsible.
